still dont understand why it works for the old Moto phone but not the new one
Newer phones have more stringent requirements on the charging circuit. Wire is part of the circuit.

My car charger used to deliver 2A to a Honor 8. Will only do 900mA for the Moto Stylus 5G 2022.

I just accidentally reviewed the specs of my Android tablet while googling for something else. The specs popped up on a webpage and I noticed right away that the tablet only has 3GB of RAM. It has run well without any problem, but now any time it slows down I'm going to be stuck thinking in the back of my head, "well I should probably get something with more RAM and this wouldn't happen," even though I don't need a new tablet.

My monitor started to act up again, where on very specific dark colours, such as AT background and also Facebook, I will get random green dots that flash. Normally I can make it go away with a reboot, but it didn't work, so I tried a full shut down. And while the PC was down I figured I would reboot the KVM too but in doing so it screwed up my work PC and all my windows shuffled all over the place (really stupid Windows bug involving DP that MS refuses to fix, it's been an issue for a long time). Just spent the last half hour rearranging all my work windows.

On the plus side, I'm working a night shift from home which is pretty sweet. Back at office tomorrow though. Asked my boss if I could just to give my foot more time to heal since at the office the bathroom is really far.

Foot is better pain wise so I think I can probably start exercising it more now. It's more swolen and bruised now though, which is kind of weird. I should be elevating it, but that's kind of akward to do while sitting at a computer. Even in bed, the best I can do is maybe add a cushion to raise it up a little.

As for the green dots.. I THINK it stopped doing it now, but still early to tell... it comes and goes.

I think that if you heard an actual "CRACK" sound when this happened, then it must be a break somewhere, and the first doctor was irresponsible by not ordering an X-Ray. Can you get a second opinion? (Is that even allowed in Canada? o_O)

Yeah if the swelling does not get better I'll get a second opinion. But she tested all the pressure points and none hurt, she even pulled and pushed in various directions and it didn't hurt, it's kinda odd I would have figured doing all that would have hit a bad spot. Right now my foot feels very similar to when I got a cortizone shot in my other foot. Kind of like it's bruised.

The crack I heard when it happened may have also been a tree branch, it happened really fast. I feel it was the foot though because the sound seemed to coincide with the feeling. I would not be that surprised if I at least fractured something, I went down pretty hard and fast. I'm lucky I was even able to get out of there, if I hurt it bad enough that I could not walk I would have been in trouble.

Need to buy some new boots, these ones feel unstable, and I kept wearing them since I paid a lot and figured I would break them in, but I think they were partially why this happened. Need to look at actual work or logging boots I think, they go higher up the ankle, and hopefully will be more stable. Also need to get a brush cutter so I can clean my trail as I go, with all the vegetation I can't see where I step as well. My goal was to wait it out and buy one later then come back to do it.

But I think I'm just going to hire the land clearing or rent equipment at this point, I wasted a summer and basically got nowhere. Once I can have an area cleared I can finally start to build. Once I have even a basic cabin/shed it gives me the option to overnight more even if it's cold or it rains since I'll have a dry place to store tools and supplies. With the trail I was building I also would have had to walk all my materials to the site, if I hire it out or use equipment I can make it wide and flat enough to drive right up to the site. At least for the initial build I think I will hire it out. In the future if I want to clear more land I can always attempt by hand again when I'm spending more nights there. Once I do have a cabin with power and heat I may even go in winter to do work if I get a skidoo. Would be a good time to do all the inside work.

Lawd, young people.

2 months from now, when it hurts every am when you get up, start the dmso. Might help, might not. Hit or miss for me.

And...do the alphabet with your toes for rehab. Can't do that...sucks being you.

Yeah the alphabet is something I do regularly, I have chronic foot pain that started about a year or so ago so was getting physio for that. Funny enough before this happened I was just thinking about how my feet are almost 100% now. Then bam this happens lol.

Oh ffs my computer is doing the green dot thing again. I'm really not in the mood to start troubleshooting stuff like this. Took a lot of effort originally to finally find a GPU that plays nice in Linux I really don't want to go through that hell again and keep trying different ones. It's also expensive to do. I don't think it's the monitor either, so at least that's the good news... When I switch to the Windows machine it doesn't do it. It's hard finding GPUs that have 2 HDMI ports too. I could use adapters but that's just adding a variable into the mix so I really try to avoid those for my home setup. Using a lot of them for work since the PC is DP out.

Maybe try different drivers. I start with the open source drivers, then alter as necessary. So far, the open source drivers work fine for my simple needs. I haven't used a proprietary driver in over a decade.
