I think my boots are partially to blame for this too. I bought some hiking boots so I'm not ruining my regular running shoes in the bush as they are built more rugged, especially the top part. But I always felt the boots were kinda unstable, but I also paid lot of money for them so kept using them anyway in hopes it would somehow get better, where it didn't. Think I'll have to buy some proper work boots that have the ankle part like skates, those might be more stable.

Oh ok, yeah been putting ice on it and avoiding walking it too much. Elevation is a little more awkward to do in the day though but been doing it at night. Might look into a boot too on Monday.

Daughter sprained hers while away at college. Got her a boot, told her what I thought she should do. She didn't. The boot wasn't "cool." 1.5 years later and it stll bothered her.

Neither I, nor my computer, seem to be coping with this ridiculous heat (been 30C or more for a week now, seems as if it's causing one of the hard drives to fail... as well as sapping any drive I might have myself.).
I decided to take a short hike up an extremely steep hill with no trail. When I got to the top, I grudgingly admitted that it was too hot to continue with my plan of hiking down the far side and looping around the base of the hill and back to my starting point. So I moped back down the hill the way I came. 40Commie

I just got an email that my computer is no longer protected because my McAffee subscription has expired. Oh noes!

I'm pretty glad my company finally ditched McAfee and is now using SentinelOne. It takes up much less resources; it wasn't unusual to see ~10 McAfee-related processes running constantly.

Are you using McAfee on your personal computer?

Haha no, I'm on Linux so don't have any AV at all. I'm so far behind when it comes to Windows land I'm not even sure what's considered a good AV anymore. I remember AVG being good but think it turned to crap at some point. I used to be up to date with all that stuff since I worked on people's PCs a lot but have not done it in a while. I kinda miss it, but at same time, I don't. It was just not worth my time for the little amount of money I made.

Got a new Android 13 phone to replace my Android 10 phone. (Both Motos and both usb-c)

Desktop doesnt see new phone.
spent an hr on google. Most common fix: turn on USB debugging
(i already have developer options and usb debugging on.)

2nd most common: replace cable.
Can't be the cable because it works with old phone.
Yup, it was the cable. No ideas why.
New usb-c cable works with both phones.

Your old cable may have been a cheap knockoff with pins on one side

Dude, it's ATOT MEME... you should read the thread, it's very entertaining.

summary: no, you should not inflate to sidewall.
why not?
every +3psi adds 1mpg in my car (Mazda3).

tire sticker in door well says 36psi.
sidewall says 45psi.
Inflating to 45psi gave me +3 mpg highway according to the console in my dash

That is how you are gonna die. Reducing contact patch size to save a few bucks on gas = longer than designed braking distance.

If it rains, you are totally fucked and will spin out even at lower speeds. Sure you do gain that little MPG, but it is a big safety risk.
