Dunkin Donuts used to be known for its acceptable coffee. Now-a-days it is like drinking hot water.
Yeah, "acceptable." Never great, just that. Around where I used to live, it was where the contractors went very early in the morning, like 5-6am. They called it Dragging Dog Nuts.

Was in there very early yesterday, can confirm.

I looked up information about Dunkin Donuts online and they are a franchise model so perhaps the one closest to me just doesn't know how to make coffee. I was at another one a couple months back and it was like hot water there too.

I've been eyeing a few pricey toys for a few years, but they've really never went on sale.

Sideshow Collectables started a big sale today, and besides one of the toys, none of them are included in the sale.

The one (Transformers Thundercracker) that is on sale for 20% off, they jacked their shipping charge from $100 to $350, so it is actually more expensive than buying it at its normal price.

Bought a new kitchen scale because my old one was broken. Turns out the old one works OK now that I've cycled the batteries multiple times and reset it multiple times. New scale has already shipped so I doubt it will be returned. Guess I can donate the old one.

I was loading data onto the corporate server last night and inadvertently dragged one high level folder into another thereby knocking ten years worth the project GIS data offline for projects company wide. Oops. For a brief moment I thought I had deleted the folder, just enough time to contemplate my future in the fast food industry. 😱 I put everything back and I haven't gotten a call yet so all must be well. I'm still wondering why I was able to do it. Even power users shouldn't have the correct permissions to f' up that bad.

Ouch that sucks, been there done that. Worse is trying to do stuff in a slow VNC or RDP it's easy to slip up stuff like that.

Visiting a family member. I just uninstalled Adobe Flash player from their computer. There are about 30 windows updates in queue. I am afraid the computer will die if I install them.

or download a win10 installation iso and create a usb stick and upgrade the win 10

If the PC in-question already HAS Win 10 then I suggest "resetting" the OS prior to installing the remaining updates.

If its still running an older and unsupported version of Windows then you should nuke it from orbit and do a clean install.

Yep it's running Win 10. I think there is a dead HDD installed as well. When I go into device manager I see two disk drives but when I go into This PC it only shows one. Can't access the dead drive through device manager, computer locks up. CPU-Z also refuses to load and gets stuck when its reading the HDDs on the loading screen. Hopefully the dead drive doesn't screw up any updates. I downloaded the Win 10 Update Assistant and it's been running for about an hour. Can't remember the last time I used a machine with 4GB of RAM.

Edit: pretty sure I just saw the update assistant jump from 97% complete back down to 90%.
