I need to get a mat for my office chair so I don't scrape my wood floors when it rolls around. I don't think there is any store within a 20 minute drive of me that sells office mats other than Office Depot. The mats at Office Depot are about 50% more expensive than the mats from Amazon so I ordered from Amazon.

got the clear one at Amazon several months ago. Edges will not flatten and slides like crazy. Looking to spend 40 on the one from Costco to replace it.

double 1stworldwhammy

2 nights ago I ordered a Native Instruments Maschine Mk3 in the limited edition Vapor Gray color, they only made 250 and somehow I found one, I never get lucky like that! Welp, got the shipping confirmation yesterday and noticed it was for the Ultraviolet color (limited edition too) If you Google it, it's ummm, a very interesting color. Not what I ordered so I called. They had no idea what was going on, but got back to me saying it was probably a typo in the update and I should probably get the Vapor Gray one. But 30 minutes later another email saying no, it's going to be the UV color. BOOOO! I'm not Prince, and I'm not a pimp so I don't know how the hell a bright ass purple on purple drum machine is going to fit in with the rest of my computer shit. I mean my keyboard and mouse are gaming so they have lots of RGBZ and I can make them purple I guess.

2nd whammy, the order was for that and a 1/4 microphone adapter which I ordered just to have one. They should have shipped together, but Fedex just delivered a box which is the size of a 6 pack bars of soap. There's no need to open it as I know what can't be in it lol. Was due today, but I didn't expect anything today because in the morning the Fedex info still was on "label created" with an expected delivery of 1/18 by 12PM . Looking at the tracking now, Fedex still says they don't have the package yet. But 12 PM delivery has changed to "by end of day" HOW I am supposed to make beats now? I might have to wait until tomorrow, or maybe, shit longer. I'm sure calling Fedex won't help either. And I still don't know if what's coming will be Vapor Gray or Ultraviolet.

OHHH yeah another 1stworldproblem. For a few months now I've been donating plasma 2x a week. The US is in super short supply right now, and they give you some cash for your time, not a ton but it's something and I'm helping those in need, so it's a win/win in my eyes. Anywho a friend who doesn't understand shit even after it's been explained thinks I'm going for blood transfusions. I found it humorous, but they told some people we both know that I've been going in every week for months for blood transfusions. So 2 people think I'm fucking dying lol. When I explained to 1 what I'm doing they laughed because they actually knew what it was right away. The other I explained it veeeery basic, and it still went over their head with the call ending question of "you're going to be okay though right?" And 1 other person keeps telling me that donating plasma's stupid and dangerous right now because it weakens your immune system and I could get Covid so much easier. Which is a stark contrast to the Covid is a hoax people, but annoying none the less lol. I laughed and told them back in the 90's I'd donated plasma about 200 times. They told me I'm lucky to still be healthy and asked if I had any idea the damage that did to my immune system.

I made way too much pasta. Pasta is weird like that. That should have been enough for 2 plates. Of course I still ate it all. I have a feeling I'm going to regret that in a bit.

Just regular tomato based pasta sauce with sausages. No cheese or anything. I seem to have survived this ordeal though. That was just a lot of food to eat in one shot lol.
I had eaten a half box of pasta with some Barilla sauce a couple days ago. Also ate some broccoli "soup" minutes earlier. Wound up blasting the stuff out via diarrhea(and probably wasting a couple D3+K2 supplement pills).

But yeah, pasta is just like all other starches. One bite in...oh it will require enormous willpower not to finish everything in front of you. Biological wiring is something else.

You do realize you can put left-over pasta in the refrigerator for later...right?

I've been waiting almost half a year for a new freezer door for a Frigidaire refrigerator. It's under warranty. The top edge of the door is bent down so it doesn't seal off in that area. I managed to put a piece of weatherstrip in the damaged section and it helps a lot.

At this point we're thinking of pushing the manufacturer for a new one. This is ridiculous.

battery was dead on the QX50 on Mon when I tried to open the door. As in completely flat, it didn't even unlock. Waited til today to go get a new battery. come home tried the door. It opens and car starts... I replaced the battery anyway since I already bought it. And I had to remove trim pieces in the engine compartment to replace the battery...

How is that possible? Was it warmer today than Monday?

It's a 2015 and I bought it in 2018. Battery is probably almost dead anyway. Doesn't get driven much which doesn't help the battery. It's like +6 today, Monday around -6.

The heating coil for the oven died, casting sparks and catching fire, then burning in two. New coil doesn't want to work even though it has continuity. Wonder what other oven component might need replacing now. Hmm.

Fun. Mine did that a few months back. It was weird since I had just turned the oven on to preheat, and in the meantime I was emptying the dishwasher. I noticed a light in the oven and was thinking "weird, I didn't turn the light on" then I hear a loud 60hz buzzing and then blue lightning bolts and sparks and then I realized something was clearly not normal inside the oven. I turned it off and sure enough the element died. They are fairly easy to replace and seem to be more or less universal.

Replacing is easy for sure. It's just the replacement coil I plugged in won't heat up. Wonder if the leads got messed up when I unplugged them. I disconnected power and tested the two leads for continuity with the switch ON, but no sign of it. The new coil itself has continuity.
The broiler element up top still works, FWiW.

bread-and-milk-meme-4-300x300.jpg

It's been well over a week now and the local stores are all still out of bread and milk.

While a lot of product availability has been spotty at best in our region because of Covid related delays (manufacturing, transportation, and receiving) over the last 18 months, it is crazy how southerners panic-buy milk and bread when they forecast any amount of snow. Having lived in the north when I was young, I understand when they forecast ice / freezing rain, but an inch of snow is nothing.

Went to plow some snow this morning with my l3901. Started up fine, after about 5 mins started running rough and threw a few error codes. Got real sluggish and died. Spent a few hours looking up codes, consulting forums, etc. Mind you this thing only has 25 hours on it, so was pretty nervous that it needed wort this early on.
Turns out the fuel cap has a breather hole on it that got frozen over, causing a vacuum strong enough to starve the engine. Noticed it when I heard a sucking sound taking the cap off.
Definitely not designed for snow country.

Ordered some masks from a smaller business one week ago. I got a "shipped" notification within 24 hours, but when I checked the tracking it just said that a label was printed. It took three days between the label being printed and any other activity on the tracking. Presumably the company printed a label and didn't actually drop in in the mail for three days.
