You know that's seriously not a bad idea though, I need to get myself one of those as an emergency vehicle. Just need to put some nice snow tires on it lol.

You need to move to the South. Surely, a ginger can get government assistance until you find a jerb.

That involves big cities, crowds, expensive housing, and intensive heat. No thanks! That said Florida is looking kind of nice these days... they seem to be one of few places where covid is basically a thing of the past and things are mostly back to normal. Have to admit I kind of miss the idea of being able to just walk into a store without a mask or going to the restaurant without being questioned or having to show any kind of papers or ID.

Though I think I'll stay put since I already bought acreage here so my main goal is to transition towards living off grid then don't have to worry about a job or being at a certain place for a certain time, or relying on "the system". Still need a source of income I can do remotely though so I can still support hobbies, have internet etc, but for now the goal is to actually build something. I'll start small and focus on getting working infrastructure, then I can expand later.

Could not convince wife that 75" QN90A would look great in living room so had to settle for 65"... Also could not convince her that QN900A was worth the extra $$$ ... :coldsweat:
Regretting not getting the 75 now that it's set up...

I use a continuous glucose monitor. I've been using a hand held reader because the android app wasn't FDA approved. Well, the android app just recently got approval so I downloaded it last week. Changed out my sensor today and initialized it with my phone.

Found out the hard way that the low glucose alarm overrides mute and volume settings, can't be turned off, and can't be adjusted in any form. It's not uncommon for me to go below the low glucose threshold by a few points at night but I'm hyperglycemic and it's virtually impossible for me to go dangerously hypoglycemic on my current meds.

Once a sensor has been initialized by the phone or hand held unit it cannot be read by any other device other than the one that initialized it. A sensor lasts two weeks. This alarm is really going to piss me off.

I don’t know where you’re getting information about Florida from, but I’d suggest you go elsewhere. Cases in my county are up over 400% from the week before Christmas and cases in Florida as a whole are up over 100% in the same timeframe. Masks are still being worn by a good percentage of people where I live.

Upgraded my phone today to my first 5G enabled phone. Pretty speedy with solid coverage, so l can tell T-Mobile has invested quite a bit in their 5G network in the Charlotte area.

However, transfering/updating/configuring a new phone takes a good amount of time (especially with extra security features like 2FA and Google Authenticator). I had to log into a number of accounts to enable the authenticator app was linked to the new phone.

I couldn't imagine repeating this process yearly like a lot of phone techies seem to do.

And I got my Covid booster shot earlier, so I feel a little achy/tired from it.

My week. Pipe froze Monday, pipe burst Tuesday. Cut the tip of my finger off Tuesday. Turned off the water for a minute to try to patch pipe. Heard the water heater element blow apart.
The pipe galvanized. I cant fix it. Waters been running since the pipe broke and the plumbers told me not to turn it off or the pipes would freeze. Couldn't find a plumber that could get here until today. Work has been closed since Monday because of snow and I have a massive plumbing bill gonna happen...

Wow that sounds like a nightmare. Plumbing is something that scares me more than electrical tbh. At least with electrical you can disconnect a wire, turn off a breaker, do whatever, and make it stop. With plumbing... it's not so easy depending where the problem is.

Back up and running now, that was a pita for no reason. At some point when I was about half way all my windows randomly all minimized. I basically had to start all over. One of the apps generates around 80 mini windows, so good luck trying to find the ones you actually need when they all minimize. Second time that happens to me... must be a weird windows 10 thing.

The real problem with plumbing is the shit, literally.

Went to the supermarket and saw Yop was on sale for 0.79 so I grabbed a dozen with the box. Cashier scans the box and I get charged 12 bux. Obviously that is not 0.79 per bottle so I go to customer service, they return the box, then charge me for 12 individual bottles. But the refund is only 1.17. These numbnuts added sales tax to the individual bottles, but not to the box. Dairy is tax free. So I am short 1.23 :colbert:

I fired off an email to corporate to complain. Also I paid with loyalty points.

Wrote off $11.7K for non payment for 2021. Not too bad but it's a FWP because I can't burn all their houses down.
