We got a power bump and all my monitors shut off. That should not have happened since I have a UPS. This messes up all my windows because for some reason Linux likes to reshuffle everything around if a monitor gets turned off. The KVM saves that from happening but that turned off too. Windows does that too with DP but this is HDMI and Linux seems to be doing it too even with HDMI. What a stupid "feature".

Looks like I may need to buy a new UPS battery. I'm tempted to just run power from the server room and plug into the big UPS though. This way if I'm working from home and power goes out at least I'll have a couple hours of run time. The desktop UPSes don't tend to run for long anyway and those gel cells don't last long. I changed this only a few years ago. I want to bring in solar power into the house too and get a charger for the batteries then I could buy even more time. I should take the opportunity to at least do the outside portion of the electrical while it's nice out...

Oh almost forgot about this FWP.

I put gas in the truck today. $140.

I was down to about 1/4 tank. I tend not to let it get that low since it hurts less to fill up... it comes up to the same thing anyway but still. 😛

Gas prices are still a bit lower than they were pre covid but they are getting up there. About $1.30/litre or so.

I was late for a meeting at work today and when I opened, printed, and then closed (the big X mark on the top right instead of the smaller x mark below it) a saved Excel spreadsheet, I hit "not save" button and did not save a worksheet that I have been working on for hours previously.

At least I did have a print out so now I will have to do all the formulas and formats all over again. 🙁

That's about $3.95 USD per gallon, which is about 60-70 cents more per gallon than I pay.

jesus shit what kind of monument to male insecurity do you drive????

Twin turbo V8 6.6 Duramax swapped. I kept the electric drive unit so it still counts as a hybrid. 😛

But seriously though, a F150 lol. Not the best fuel economy... I really wanted a truck so I got it, though I kinda have buyer's remorse sometimes, could have got car and trailer for cheaper and would have been better on gas. But may as well keep it at this point since I paid like 14k for it. 😱

Well that's freaky. I open Facebook.. first ad I see is for the new dodge ram. Speaking of trucks...

It's freaky how they can spy on everything you do even on different websites. I should delete Facebook, but it's not like that will stop them from spying on me.

I cannot find any fresh/good lettuce in my area. I bought a head 2 days ago (none if it looked that good), but when I went to use it yesterday it was completely rotted from the inside out. Even the higher-end pricier stores all have lettuce that looks like it's already half bad. All other produce seems like it is good/fresh as you can expect, but that damn elusive fresh lettuce.......

A lot less farmhand due to covid.

True, but it's weird that almost everything else seems normal. Things like spinach, beans, cucumbers, broccoli, etc. all look normal.

I wonder if they've had issues with the crop (weather) wherever they get it from right now. I know when I lived in the midwest, most of the lettuce came from California, but in the SE I'm not sure if it's the same? The quality just seems really, really bad.

Was shifting spices around and knocked over the pure vanilla extract, it fell on the counter cracking the cap and spewed vanilla extract all over the counter and me.

So a while back i made an order on Walmart's site. A week in I realized there was no signs of it, no confirmation email, nothing. I logged in to the account and it was not in there. Weird. Maybe it never went through. So I placed the order again. Got it. now I'm getting emails saying that my order is on it's way... Looks like the first one DID go through, it just took forever before I hear anything about it...

Now I need to wait for that to come in and deal with that. I'm hoping I can just bring it to the physical store for a return.

I'm now a "two pump chump."

I haven't had a haircut since last May so now I need two pumps of shampoo to properly wash my hair.
