Wanted to make some snack mix, so I went to Trader Joe's yesterday to buy some nuts, dried fruit, and some other things. Got there, and the line to get in was probably 50 people long, so I said F it, got in my car, and drove back home. Le sigh.

Fire Warning in Northern Virginia.

We JUST HAD a blizzard watch.

Dammit.

Also, I am too lazy to do spring cleaning on my 4200 square foot house.

I washed my vehicle a few days ago after all the sleet and snow from the big storm and now pollens from them trees are all over the whole vehicle.

Get ready for excessive sneezing.

Oh and the spring forward time setting is messing me up. Never like it and never will.

Got a FireHD 10, it is wide format so very unwieldy. So now I have to get a case.

Certbot randomly stopped working on my server a while back, it must have auto updated and now it requires a very specific version of python or some other dependency that my distro does not have since it's old. I need to update it at some point but I have bigger fish to fry.

So now I'm trying to convert everything over to use acme.sh which is an alternative way to renew certs, but it's such a tedious and royal pain in the ass. I'm trying to automate it as best as I can but sub domains are problematic because of the verification process so I found a work around which involves putting an alias on every sub domain to point to the main root, since the verification puts a file there.

But since some of my domains were already previously setup with certbot it's not playing nice at all and just being a royal pain.

I hate SSL sometimes... I hate that it's designed to have to rely on a 3rd party and I'm basically at their mercy. It should just be a setting I turn on in apache and that's it.

Well that was painstaking but think all my domains are setup with the acme.sh setup now and from this point on they should auto renew once I add the cron job. I will run it manually in like a month or two just to make sure it works though.

The basic domains that just have a simple www sub and that's it are easy. It's the ones that have other sub domains then I need to alias the validation folder to the root, and for some reason it was not always working correctly. Often times I had to make changes, change it back, then change it back again and suddenly it would work. It's really messed up. It's like changes would not take unless I changed the config file, restarted the server, then changed it back, then restarted again.

So glad this is over for now...

I do eventually want to code myself a web interface to fully manage servers though, like everything from setting up new domains, users, email mailboxes and everything in between. I've only been telling myself this for like 10 years... lol. Just need to take the time to actually code it and once it's done it will make my life easier. I can just keep building modules any time I want to automate something. My goal is to set it up so I never have to manually edit config files ever. Basically something like cpanel but without the price tag.

I think my nexus 10 finally went kaput. I had to do a factory reset every so often as it would just bootloop. Now I think there is something screwy going on with the actual hardware. I cannot factory restore as no data is seemingly able to be erased/formatted or written. Even if I use my computer/ADB to push images/format nothing really happens despite what ADB reports...very odd. RIP. Guess I need another bedroom tablet.

I just realized my carwash I got last year expired. Basically I bought it but then saw after the fact that I had to take the hitch off the truck before being able to go in, but I can't figure out how to take it off so figured I'd worry about it later.... well I still have not done it.

I need to take the time to really try harder to see if I can get it off as I do want to eventually go through the carwash to take all the dirt and grime off.

Also, I just realized that my 2 4k monitors are susceptible to burn in since I moved this window and now I see a big line right across the dark background. I did not realize burnin was still a thing. :/ Paid so much for these too. I guess i really need to be more careful about leaving windows open in a single area, wonder if there are programs that will move them by a few pixels occasionally... should look into that.

Gas price went up to $2.44/gal of regular unleaded. Now it is $30 to fill up instead of $25 two weeks ago.

Pics of hitch.

It looks like this, except it's more hitch shaped.

Hey, I discovered a new coping mechanism for this. Come down with a 72 hour GI bug. I have no freaking idea what day it was, never mind what time.
I didn't wind up with that stupid jet lagged feeling.
That will do it. I spent a night in a tiny hotel in Idaho with a nasty gut bug, full throttle fever. There was a bar/dining room below my room. When I was lucid enough to pay attention I could not really hear people talking down there as much as I could feel their mouths move. I got into a nice rhythm of chugging water and OJ, sleeping in a fever dream, and hitting the restroom down the hall (it was a very old, very small hotel with shared bathrooms). I was glad the hotel was mostly empty because god help us all if that bathroom wasn't clear when I got out of bed.
