Sorry to hear you're having problems with your Armour Pro. Mine's still puffing along quite nicely...on the original 21700 battery.

I think I just killed my Armour Pro...wasn't looking...dropped it into a half-full cup of coffee...o_O got it in a bag of rice, but...

(dammit...this was supposed to be an edit of the post I quoted...not a quote and new post)

Just because it was Made in China doesn't mean it likes rice!

Outlook isn't acting up to par at my new job.

First, when pasting images into an email (or even when my signature appears, which contains the company logo), it really glitches out and a bunch of weird characters are displayed, with like text from other windows and whatnot. Like this (the actual image I pasted is highlighted):

Capture.PNG

Then the "Read" option seems not right. I normally have my Outlook setup to mark a new message as "read" after a couple seconds, or even 1 second (I don't remember exactly what I had it at my previous job). So I set it to "Mark msgs as read after 1 sec" and ended up not seeing a new email because I had nothing in my inbox, or maybe I did have a couple emails I don't remember, but either way it auto read the email when it came in and I never saw the "new email" icon in the taskbar.

It NEVER did that at my old job; any new emails were not auto read after that amount of time I had specified; only when I'd explicitly bring up Outlook and click on the emails were they read after that time span. Not sure how to fix that but to avoid that in the future I changed it to only mark read after I move off an email, which I don't care for but I hate missing emails more.

IT'S A HARD LIFE BOYS

Outlook is a mess. Between the plague of feature creep and the creepy spyware shit, Outlook had become unwieldly. It used to be vastly superior to gmail. Now it's just mostly better. At least google has the decency to hide the spyware shit.

Tips:
Open the Delve app and turn it off. It's a security hole big enough to drive a class action lawsuit through.
Open the MyAnalytics app and turn it off. It's creepy spyware shit.
Open Outlook, go to settings, advanced, and turn off the "send my frequent contacts to Sharepoint" feature. It's creepy spyware shit.

Thanks to the blessing of the NH state legislature, I can turn right on red after coming to a stop. A person in the left lane, taking a left, has no such right. So I pull forward a bit so I can see traffic coming from the left, guy in the left lane also pulls up, and now I can’t see oncoming traffic - WTFBBQ?

I remember when it was possible to get a meal at McDonald's or any fast food place for under $10.
How does the Canuckistan dollar convert to USD? I don't think a single meal costs anywhere near that much at McD's in USA.

Reminds me when Subway had their "5 dolla foot long". It's more like "5 dollar plain 6 inch, but for a few dollars extra you can make it a foot and put toppings on it, plus tax". You still come out of there having paid around 10 bucks for a sub. There needs to be a law that when there is a promo like that, it needs to be the price you actually pay, not the price before tax/fees.

What? It's minimum $15 for a "value" meal here from the clown.
That's insane. Where is "here?"

Most expensive meal at my local McD's:

$9.19

Most of the meals are several dollars less.

?

Pretty sure I would go in and get the advertised foot-long sandwich for $5. No issue at all.

I only did it a couple times. I don't want to eat a sandwich that large.

I looked for a while, somehow I can't find an example.
I can assure you though the prices in/around Seattle are insane.

Last weekend I went out with a friend for a birthday, went to a Mexican restaurant for brunch.
It was literally $26 for 1 egg, a cubed potato, 4 tiny (3-4") corn tortilla shells, with salsa verde.
They have a standard "macho burrito" that comes with a mix of meats, beans, rice for $55.
Mandatory 18% tip plus I think 11% tax. Needless to say I refused to order anything.

Restaurant before that started at $20 for a leaf salad, like $26 to have vegetables on top.
I didn't even bother looking at the rest of the items, or I don't recall the insanity.

Before that was a sushi place, the cheap "chef special" (aka expired) roll was like $50.

Oh yeah and a 12oz NY steak was like $165 at a "nice" restaurant.

Basically fast food is like $15, restaurant appetizers/starters are $20+ and regular dishes like $50+.

Coffee too, I don't regularly drink the stuff but somebody gave me a $20 gift card for Christmas.
I used it one time for a medium non-coffee drink and a plain bagel. Total was around $13.
I gifted the remaining card/amount to somebody who would use it.
