I stopped to gas up. It was one of those annoying pumps w/ the TV display blaring ads and happyhead stupidity. Usually, if one punches the buttons, one can find a mute button even it it isn't marked. No go on this pump. I won't be using that station again.
I had the same issue an hour ago. Then I found the secret mute button to the top right of the display. :triumph:

The IT at the head office of my company is always screwing around with stuff, they can't leave stuff alone. Recently they did this thing where when you come back from a fresh reboot, your account is locked out for about an hour. No reason, it just is. Have to wait before you can login to most things.

Sorry I didn't do any work today boss. I reboot my machine every hour to keep it running fast and stable and that ate the entire day. Not optimistic about my production for tomorrow either.

So someone stole the starter out of my truck. Guess that explains why it would not start. Hope the cameras caught something but doubt it will be a clear image.
Get one of these and criminals will think twice.

Wow. Timmins has gone to shits.

It has. In the past couple years it's completely retarded now. So much crime now, especially theft. Per capita we're worse than even major cities like Toronto. Though Toronto seems to be going to shit too, way more murders now.

We really need castle laws here. If there was a risk to stealing, thieves would maybe think twice.

Cops are on the way to my house to take a report. I need to make sure I don't mistake them for trick or treaters. "Nice costume, looks like the real thing!"

WTF?! I've never even heard of that. What kind of ghetto do you live in?!

It's getting super bad here, it's completely retarded now. Was never this bad before. Theft has practically been legalized, nobody ever gets in trouble for it. I'm doing the police report as a formal thing but not much will come of it in the end other than adding to the statistics.

A year ago someone got every part off their bike stolen. It does not even make sense to do that. They took every part and just left the frame there. Bike theft in general is bad too, but that was a new one. Same wit ATVs etc, people will steal seats and stuff. Or if you're loading stuff out of your truck into your yard people will steal some of the stuff while you're in your yard with another load. Someone got a couple pieces of siding stolen that way. Who even steals siding, what can you even do with a few pieces? Makes no sense to me.

In your yard? Eff. One of my customers had his catalytic converter stolen at church one night.

For shooting them? You can't have guns, right? Or is that just pistols?

Meh was having a mehrathon today. I was in the office cause of rain, so I could watch it. There isn't much I need, but they had power banks that came up which would have been perfect for running my stuff at work. Tried to buy two, and it said it was for vmp members only, of which I'm not :^(

Oh, and I'm sitting on the porch waiting for halloweenies, and getting chewed up by mosquitoes cause it's so warm. Bullshit weather for the end of October :^S

Was at work during night shift. So down town. At night it's like the walking dead down town. So many drugged up zombies.

Guns are harder to get here, but I'd just like being able to harm them really. Ball peen hammer to the head could do the trick.

Hmmm, raspberry pi, some switches, 220V.....

Just modify the mouse trap setup.

I have a 120 to 480 step up transformer. Tempting. Could have a separate battery running an inverter and put one side of the voltage to ground (maybe a clamp that hooks to a manhole cover, there is one in our parking lot) and the other side to the chassis.

Whatever I do though I really need to find a better way to watch my vehicle at night. The screen with all the cameras is not visible from my workstation, and the quality is crap anyway. Almost need to get a camera system built into the truck like a dash cam that's always on and then maybe one overlooking the box in case I have anything in it.

Goddamn trick or treaters. One kid hid next to my door while his friend rang the doorbell, and when I opened the door he jumped out and scared the shit out of me.

If you'd cut down some of that brush.... Save me a toblerone, please.

Well, I'm not on the porch because I hate kids and we just had storms come through. I am sitting in the house with one of my two new $17K install price a/c's on the shits...again. Installed Feb, out Mother's day, out now. Might go into the snow-cone business. Going to be 61 for the high tomorrow but damn.

Guess it ain't supposed to look like that.

Just talked with bro/plumber. His price on a faucet for a customer was $400. All of the innards are aluminum, not brass. Means the shizzle will pit and not last.

China crap is crap.

Sucks about the ac. Seems like everything gets fancier, and less durable over time. Tornado watch tonight, and the rain's supposed to start again, so I should have a couple Toblerones for you. I have dark, and crunchy salted almond.

Or at least a neighborhood watch kind of thing. Bunch of guys with bats walking around is a good deterrent.

It's hard to wrap my mind around WTF is wrong with Canadian thieves. Okay, steal a bike if the opportunity presents itself or break into a car to get stereo and phone, swipe packages off a porch, sure. That all makes sense. But a starter? And parting out a bike rather than taking the entire thing? Who in their right mind (and I realize that Canada is the key word here) would steal things that way? It's like the most dangerous, least efficient way of theft possible. They truly must not have any fear of being caught.

Danke and a/c warranty. Used to sell those in HS for our October fest trips to Helen, GA. School sanctioned drunk fest, ftw.:D

Mentioned before but the new unit at Ma's did the same thing last year. The controller board for the fan was $280. WTF do you need a controller board for a fan? On/off/repeat.

Effing energy efficiency crap is sometimes crap.

Yeah it's completely nuts. I think at this point they're just doing it because they can. Half the time they ditch what they steal a couple blocks away. Sometimes they even break into someone else's car then ditch what they stole from the last car. It's messed up.
