You think there's something wrong with being too smart to be on the working end of a digger? (it's times like this when I wish my grandson hadn't moved back to CA.)
I learned that 30+ years ago because I was too stupid to realize GPA mattered.

Won an auction. Now I have to scramble to line up vehicle and people to help me get it home. Two server rack and 6 Easton 9135, probably two ups, four battery expansion and two pdus.

Now I need electrical work.

Dry as shit here too. Brown lawns are beautiful. They look like me NOT sitting on a tractor, wasting time and making noise. It's looking like my grass shortening days might be over for the year. One more time at the most. It's been a good year as far as that goes.

Are you in whole house UPS territory here? How long could this thing run your fridge and AC?

lol it's just 2 6KVA units with 2 expansion each. not sure it will serve the fridge. I need to figure out what exact PDU they are to figure out what I can plug into it. I think it's all 240, which would mean I need to do something about my 120 loads.

or maybe get this and just replace the plug.

Ordered some Bluetooth speakers but they won't pair with the device I intended them for (yet they pair with my phone, and the device pairs with my headphones). Now I gotta pack all that f'ing shit up and send it back. I guess on the positive side, I think I'm gonna get smaller/cheaper speakers as a replacement, so that's good I guess.

Yellow jackets are getting very aggressive and I feel like I'm probably going to get stung at some point. I have not seen so many in a very long time and they have no fear right now.

At work last Friday I took my brushcutter in to clear line. I really needed it, but it died after 10 minutes; no spark. That really fucked me. I had to cut line with my chainsaw, and I was into a bunch of greenbriars, which aren't nice with a chainsaw, not to mention 10 zillion saplings all crushed together. Put in the shop, and they said I'd get "priority" service since I bought it from them. Said it would go in this morning, so I expected it done today.

Go over after work, and they haven't even looked at it, and I need it tomorrow... I'm about done with Husqvarna, so I drive to four different Stihl shops, and none of them have any big machines in stock. They say no one uses them around here. After driving all over, and making a couple calls, I end up going back to the Husky place, and buying the same machine I already had so I have something to use tomorrow. $850 just to get what I already had... If I knew my machine wouldn't have been ready, I could have ordered a Stihl Friday, and it would have been waiting for me today :^S

edit:
Oh, and the forums here are running like shit again. They've taken "If it ain't broke, fix it til it is" to heart

Got crap on-call again tonight. Was up until 12:30 am on the stupid system (from the time I got home a little after 6 pm) cause it was a long day at work due to a goof by this company we use a service from. But I think everything is caught up now so it should be a "normal" night as long as some stupid bullshit doesn't die (I only know how to fix stuff in a part of the system). Ugh it blows so much dick.

I need to look for another job but I'm just comfortable where I am and don't wanna rock the boat, plus I like (most) of my co-workers a lot. But I'd be better off elsewhere, no doubt.

And I frickin forgot to submit my system specs for the Microsoft Flight Simulator beta thing, AGAIN. MOTHER SCRATCHER

I decided to put one of the 1070TIs from my mining rig into my gaming rig to upgrade the graphics. Was an impromptu thing and then I just let it sit.

Turns out Windows wants you to reactivate every time you change hardware. WTF?! It have 3 days to figure out how to do that. Been a long time since I've dealt with Windows. I think this copy is actually legit so it should be easier I think...

Well looks like I'm gonna have to format my fucking desktop PC.

For some reason I can't get to the Bing website and I've looked through everything I can think of: hosts file, anti virus, firewall, changing DNS servers, router.

That's not a huge deal (works on my phone and Surface Pro) but what's worse is the Internet is super f'ing slow on my desktop. I did a bandwidth test and I get my normal 60-70 Mbps but webpages are dial-up slow. I don't know why but my theory is that it's still remnants of Nord VPN dicking things up. I uninstalled the stupid thing in the first place cause it was blocking a whole bunch of shit.

Ugh. I got so much damn software installed. I guess it's a good time to utilize the Acronis True Image software I bought years ago to make an image of a freshly installed Windows with drivers and other utility software installed. Fml

Not being able to access Bing should be considered a feature, not a bug...

Forgot to submit my system specs for MS Flight Simulator... AGAIN

The people who leave Amazon reviews saying "well I bought this for a gift so I haven't used it" or "haven't used it yet but it seems durable." SO USEFUL; THANKS FOR LEAVING THAT TOTALLY NECESSARY REVIEW, IT REALLY HELPS YOU JACKOFF. Why not wait until you have some experience with it, then leave the review? Fml

We "inherited" a barrel sauna when we bought this house. We're not "sauna people," so I posted it on Craigslist. However...it seems that between the time it was checked during the home inspection a year ago and now...the heater has died...so now, it's not worth much. :(
