The forum started to look like Windows 10.

Serioously though what is with this trend in UIs? Everyone seems to be doing this white background + fuzzy gray text shit. Even the default Reddit is like that now.

I finally got to play Fallout 76 last night on my new Xbox and I'm not very impressed. I found out yesterday that there's no NPCs in the game "because it's a multiplayer game." SO FUCKING WHAT?! Lord of the Rings Online is multiplayer and has NPCs; World of Warcraft is multiplayer and has NPCs; etc. Ugh dumb. I liked them because they contributed to the story telling in the game; now it feels a lot more empty without them.

It's also the first time I'm playing it on a console; I've actually been a PC gamer upon until now (got the Xbox for Red Dead 2) but Fallout 76 game with the console so I figured I'd give it a shot. And as I figured, I'm pretty crap in aiming with that damn controller. Also there's no frickin ammo! Add into that my poor aim and I've had to melee bash enemies way more than I've been able to shoot them. Hence I'm finding it more difficult and I've hardly even started.

But I'm willing to give it some more play time before deciding "fuck it I'm buying the PC version" lol.

OH. And it requires an Xbox Live Subscription to play! I just did the free one month thing but just another "meh" for me. PC Gaming Master Race indeed, bitches.

I put a scented candle on top of some bricks on my wood stove, and the whole thing melted, and the wick disappeared. I only used 10% of the candle :^(

While it was melted, I stuck a chopstick in the candle, and that seems to be working a bit as a wick. Lamer than the string wick though.

That's a bit of a wicky sticket.

I had some oatmeal this morning and now there's a piece of a nut stuck in the back of my lower left teeth. I keep sticking my tongue there but can't fish it out.

And I just realized I have a two-fer complaint. What's the fucking deal with putting nuts in oatmeal? FUCK THAT SHIT. Some of us don't like the nuts (I like the sausage). Don't f'ing infect a perfectly good oatmeal with goddamn nuts. Fuckin bullshit.

The oatmeal in question (good shat actually, it's super premium doncha know):

C&C Rival doesn't work on Huawei phones. EA says they cannot possibly support all hardware. Apparently EA doesn't know Huawei is the number two smartphone maker...

My chopstick wick is working better than expected. The candle's tunneling, but it kinda works. It'll keep the whole thing from getting wasted.

I have a FedEx shipment incoming, not scheduled for delivery for two days. It is currently sitting in a FedEx office a half mile from me. I looked into having them hold it there so I can pick it up today. Nopers. If I want it held, they have to send it to an affiliate location that is miles from me where I could pick it up, in about two days. They would rather do more work than let me pick it up today. If I miss the scheduled drop off, I have to go to the office near me to pick it up.

Smart people ship to office

I should add that what is going to happen is that FedEx is going to do the same crap they did with the last delivery which is to deliver a day early when there is no one there to sign for it. So in two days, I'll be picking it up at that nearby office anyway.

I always hate dealing with Fedex packages here since if you miss you have to call ahead of time to schedule a pickup and they have really weird hours. It's rare it happens though. Digikey is about the only place I buy from that ships Fedex the others are Purolator or Canada Post. Usually they just leave it at the door anyway.

Last week, had free 1 day fed ex delivery. Thurs, on the truck for delivery. Thurs. night, at the facility. So much for free 1 day delivery. This was from walmart.

My bro had one that sat in a warehouse for 2 weeks, about 30 min from us. The guy told him that he couldn't release it to him because he was "bound" by the delivery date. It was a 100lb shelf system, not that that should matter. That was Amazon.

I'm not enjoying Fallout 76 on the Xbox. F'ing controller makes it hard as shit for me to aim, couple that with hardly any ammo at the beginning of the game, and I've done a lot of melee bashing and Stimpack using (almost out of those) and I'm only a little over an hour, about, into the game. I haven't given up yet but I thinking more and more of just buying the PC version. GRRRRR.

At least this is a three day week. GLORIOUS

I was up until 2a.m. last night installing my new kitchen sink. Note to self... don't start replacing your kitchen sink at 9p.m., especially if you've never done anything like this before.

After cutting the drain pipe I realized the pipe modification was going to be too long for the new drain location. I'll have to take a trip to the hardware store and get a couple of street elbows to make it work. Should be all set in an hour or so, but I may wait until tomorrow to turn on the water until the silicone has had 24 hours to fully cure.

Here's a before and after. I hate double bowls with a passion; hopefully I can sell it on Craigslist for like $30 or something.
