My girl was especially feisty tonight and raked my hand pretty good when I was giving her medicine. It's right above the scars she left on my hand a few years ago when she got pissed at her brother while I was holding her. I went to toss her on the bed, but she had a death grip on my hand. Sounded like velcro tearing D^:
 
I managed to plan conflicting activities again. Now I have to try to reschedule things at the last minute and I don't have a good excuse aside from being brain dead. This is always fun.
 
Something is beeping in my house, but not often enough to make it easy to find what it is. I thought it was the UPS that powers my workstation and mining rig, because when I went to check it the battery symbol was flashing, I assume meaning that the battery is bad. So I just took it apart and it's sitting on my desk. The beeping happened again. It wasn't that. lol. The battery seems fine... like it's holding a charge, but it's odd the symbol was flashing on it.

But I still have to find whatever else is beeping now lol.
 
Found the source of the beep!

My internet ONT. The battery in it needs to be replaced. 😛

Now debating on if I replace the UPS ones too given it did happen to have a fault indicator too...

On hold now. I think the department I'm on hold with is closed but it still says a service rep will be with me shortly.

Technically, the time I spent on this is more than what it would cost to just buy a battery myself. 😛
 
Started copying files to my new HDD and went out for the day. Came home to f'in Windows asking what to do with a file. F. FF. Why does Windows still do this crap? Instead of holding those files and continuing copying everything else, it just f'in stops copying, waiting for me to click a button. This is flippin' 2018 fer Bill's sake.
 
Totally got nowhere with tech support.

Given I work for the company I can pull some strings to get a new battery, but I always like to go through proper channels first, if anything to get an idea of what customer service is like. And it's not very good.

They really need to stop this BS of outsourcing tech support to India. It's not the Indian people's fault, it's just that the language barrier makes it very hard for both parties to communicate. I don't think the guy really had a clue what I was asking for.
 
I have to get some routine blood work done before my physical next week but I'm not sure if the lab is open tomorrow and I can't find anything online. I really don't want to fast (and miss having a cup of tea and a snack tonight) for nothing if they're closed tomorrow.

I've entered into many surveys promising an Amazon gift card and they are all bullshit.
 
Looks like Fathead's gone again. I guess he's ok. He disappeared for a bit last year(about this time if I remember right), and showed up again later in the year. Costs me a bit of money and time, but I kind of look forward to seeing him. One day I was carrying the food bag to the door, and he was right there staring in the window. Startled me :^D
