Speaking of slots there is also a type of slot called PCI-X, which I always thought was PCI express and just a different way of saying it, but turns it's another type of slot. When looking at Sata/SAS HBAs a lot of them come in PCI-X which not a lot of motherboards even have.

It was the standard for servers back 10+ years ago. MOAR BANDWIDTHS.

I think it might have been backwards-compatible with PCI.

PCI-X predates pci-e on servers

How big are these batteries? I've ordered 18650 cells without any issue. I assume this is a primary cell and not rechargeable though, are the restrictions higher for primaries?

Nobody tell the government that courier companies are driving around with tanks full of flammable liquid too! They might restrict that as well. :p

You must have bought them before the ban

I remember when there were long debates on PCI-X verses PCI-e. In fact, I seem recall those were all here, on Analtech.

I went to the grocery store earlier for a few things including kitty litter, forgot the kitty litter. Now I have to endure this stench. I forgot to buy unscented last time. Scented litter is an abomination to humanity.

Been dealing with the deluge of rain the past 2 1/2 to 3 days here in Portland,OR.

Between Thursday and Saturday night, we got 3.79 inches of rain.(2.13 inches of that fell on Saturday.)

Our usual total for all 31 days of October is 3.00 inches.

Dealing with rain here too and it keeps delaying my shed build. I can't wait till winter just gets here already instead of this wet crappy weather. I need like -5 -10 weather then if it snows it will be dry snow. Only downside is drilling screws through wood in winter is harder and they'll strip more easily, will have to predrill holes. But at least I won't feel as rushed trying to race against the weather.

Parking down town in my city is a joke, it's near impossible to find a spot and most places you have to pay. I found an empty metered spot but didn't have any change since I try to avoid leaving any in the car because car break ins are bad here. People will smash your window for a dime in the cup holder. I only had a stray quarter I found so I put it in the meter but it was clearly not enough. Got a ticket. At least we can pay online now, so it's convenient. :p

I should actually keep some change in the glove box for this. It's not often I need to park down town but I often get caught without any change when I do.

I hate landscapers. With a passion. If it's not the long droning noise of their commercial-grade leaf blowers, it's their mowers for 45 minutes straight. The leaf blowers - dust all over your car from 3 houses down. Ban them, please. If you use landscapers, you suck.

I'm so freaking pissed at myself right now. I left a rag in the laundry tub thinking "I probably should not do this, I can't forget it there". And I did.

Now my basement is flooded FFS. Was doing laundry and that's where the water empties but the rag got sucked towards the drain and plugged it so the sink just kept overflowing each time the washing machine did a cycle. Second freaking time this happens. I had no where else to put it (was waiting till I get to that particular load so I can throw it in the wash) and forgot it there. So so pissed. Such a fucking ridiculous thing to happen and it's my fault. Probably have to pull up all the flooring. I don't feel like dealing with this right now I just put fans and dehumidifer and I'll see how bad it gets when it dries. There's already rot from last time. As long as it stays relatively flat I'm just going to leave it be and put the real flooring over it. It's just sub floor right now but I want to put something water tight there eventually, because of stupidities like this.

I really need to put a float switch and a relay that shuts off the washing machine if it activates. Second freaking time this happens. The first time I did not even know there was something in the sink. This time I should have known better not to put anything in or around there.

Feel so nauseated but pissed at the same time.

They start at 8am sharp here at my apartment complex. I tried to sleep in a little today. No such luck.

I am the yard boy and I use equipment just about every week. Haven't had any complaints...yet... but I do live next to a funeral home.

I had to restart my computer for pending Windows updates that caused me to lose an eBay bid for a new pitching wedge.

I woke up with super low water pressure this morning and so couldn't take a shower. So I was like "WTF mate" and just cleaned up and brushed my teeth the best I could and left for work. It turns out a water main broke and a whole bunch of towns are under a boil water advisory (and my city in particular has low pressure or no water). So in order for me to go to the bathroom and take a shower I got a motel for the next two nights; hopefully the thing will be fixed by then. So exciting!
