I wanted to get 4 nights of OT but only got the 1 night (tonight). Still, 12 hours of OT is pretty good. :D. 3 days off then back on for 6 nights. Have a nice stretch of time off after that, like 8 days lol. That's what I like about this job.

Got my new to me lg g3 phone today, and it sounds like shit. Pretty sure the speaker's blown. Glad I like my ghetto temp phone as much as I do. Back to the drawing board...

I have an old ass Android Samsung Galaxy S4 and it's been great other than the slow CPU. I have no need for an over priced Apple with an over priced plan. I only pay $35/month and have 2.5 GB of data and barley touch that since I use WIFI all the time. I wouldn't even spend close to $700 on a Samsung. To me, a phone is worth no more than a few hundred and I'm okay with that if it's a few generations behind. I don't need the latest and greatest crap that comes along.

I wouldn't use Apple if it were gratis. I could have gotten a free iphone a couple years ago, but I chose to purchase an S5.

Was in the Bahamas all week, sailing the Sea of Abaco on a 56 foot catamaran with 19 other boy scouts and adult leaders and had to do my own laundry off the stern of the boat.

Ordered another phone from the same seller. I'm holding on to this one for awhile, so I don't get the same phone back. Three people signed off on the last phone saying it was correct. They must have been deaf.

i started using the starbucks app to order stuff.

I have 125 stars for a free item.
was going to use it to order an expensive drink with lots of bells & whistles.

but I was also hungry so I ordered a slice of lemon loaf b4 ordering my complicated drink.
but I accidently hit pay when I only had the loaf in my cart and selected the 125 stars.

so basically I wasted the free item on a $2 loaf instead of a $10 drink :(

I got an iPhone 4 when they were just coming out and did not like it. Cant remember the specific reasons right now but I made a thread here when I did it. Wonder if I can find that thread.

Still using the BB Torch 9810, bought in 2011. The only thing smart about this phone is me.

No root available for my temp phone. That's so offensive. Every computer has a root user, and the root user is the owner of the computer. I don't own the machine I paid for :^S

I did finally get the stupid google keyboard disabled through adb, so I'm not bumping it anymore while using the keyboard I chose. Small victory I guess. It's still taking up space and taunting me though...

thx to their latest promo, I now have 500 stars on my Starbucks rewards card.
that's enuf for 4 free items.

but I spent $15 more than I was going to.
so basically those 4 free items cost me $15, or $4 per free drink.

I cant believe I fell into that trap.

When we had central air installed, the compressor unit was installed on the roof, to the southeast of the kitchen skylight. Now the kitchen skylight is shaded for a couple hours each day. :(

so to which side of the skylight would you have placed the compressor to never block?

I use HackersKeyboard. It has a full layout excluding 'F' keys. Google keyboard is too lean, and when it tries to be helpful, it pisses me off. All I want a keyboard to do is put the characters I press on the screen. Nothing else.

Went to the flea market today, and the halal food truck wasn't there. That was the driving force getting me out of the house. I figured I could get lunch even if I didn't need to buy anything. To add insult, a woman that's been there 25+ years, and was a reliable source of BDUs was no longer there. Nothing gets better with time :^(

Roof top A/C in a residential setting is so weird. It just seems like the most impractical way of doing it, vs putting it on the ground and the line can just feed straight into the foundation to the air handler.

Most put it on a patio stone, but I find that it moves too much due to frost heave and unit ends up crooked and just looks ugly, so I went overkill and poured a slab for mine last year. In spring (real spring) I'll get to see how it held up as it will be the first winter it goes through. I didn't use rebar so hopefully that was not a mistake.
