After a rough start to my day it's all sunshine outside now with some passing clouds and the winds have returned to normal with a coastal sea breeze.
 
A month+ ago, I bought tickets for tonight to a comedian I really wanted to see, but then I registered for the fall semester and am in class for 3+ hours on Thursday and Friday nights.

I decided it was a bad idea to skip, so I'm sitting here instead of out enjoying myself. Being responsible sucks.

Also, the comedian is old, so if he dies before I get to see him live I'm gonna be pissed.
 
Which comedian are you missing? Now if we're talking about someone like Lewis Black then I'd have to reconsider being responsible.😱😀 Here's something for you to watch instead.
 
it's 6:20pm on the Friday before Labor Day and I'm still here at work with my team. uggggggggggggggggggh.
 
I got assigned some new high priority stories in JIRA at the tail end of a sprint.

You're not supposed to DO that in Agile, man! Lock it down, yo!
 
Spent a few hours learning the difference between 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, MME, DirectSound, WASAPI, emulation, 16 bit, 32 bit float, and fuck...... I just wanted to record some stupid sound.

And something I've been meaning to get at Ikea went on sale...

Should've gone with Garrison. I saw PHC last year, and his monologues were great as usual. BUT... He had a bit trouble remembering lines, and confusing punchlines. I'm a little concerned about mental degredation aside from old age. I'm glad I saw him when I did.
 
I decided to refinish my headlines ahead of the hurricane. Why? Reasons. IDK. Call it hurricane preparedness. Anyway, it was mid seventies out and I was sweating balls. Humidity was only in the 50's and it wasn't a strenuous job so I don't know what the problem was.

Anyway, everyone says it's so easy to do but that's bullshit. You have start with a spray to remove the old uv coating. then you have to scrub with 400 grit paper, rinse, 1000 grit, rinse, 2000 grit, rinse, compounder, rinse, wash, rinse, dry, and finally, finally apply the new uv coat. And that leaves out some drying steps in between to check your work and some extra wetting steps to keep the surface wet.

But I did it. Took about an hour I guess and it actually came out pretty nice.
 
Damn. I missed a Craigslist sale because I forgot to check my alt-email and didn't respond until 12 hours later. Woops.
 
Things actually aint been to bad lately. I did hurt myself (possible permanent back issue?) saving Humpty Dumpty and some other kid...but now I get to hang out at Humpty's place and eat all his food. Though I do have to take care of him and do all the chores, shopping, and cooking. And drive him around for hours and hours for all kinds of appointments (average 2 hours driving a day). And rarely do I get to use a PC or TV (mostly just no time for it). But there's heat and AC, and most importantly I get to eat food. Starving sucks.
 
I'm looking into hustling used first-year textbooks and I go look at one of the courses I took years ago... The book has been getting updated with a new edition like once a year -- book is basic engineering physics, I'm sure physics changes every year. Fucking racket, alright.
 
I can't believe that I got some leftovers from the fridge and actually had to wait like 2 minutes for them to heat up in the microwave.😱😛😀
 
Went to a brew bar and asked for something malty and got hoppy. I don't think anyone makes a malty beer. The last one I can remember having is Tsing Tao beer.
 
Trying to find a set of no mic/remote Apple Earpods. How the hell is this not for sale separately? Regret not keeping them when I Craigslisted my Shuffle last year. At this rate, it's probably cheaper to wait for Boxing Day and buy a new Shuffle just for the headphones then Craigslist the iPod.

Edit: I got so cheap and impatient that I almost googled "free iPod."
