I got my newly issued ATM/ABM card locked.

The machine asked for the PIN then displayed the menu -- success, right? However, I found out the hard way that the menu was displayed regardless of the right PIN being entered or not. It didn't look like it verified the PIN until a menu item was activated. What the fuq?

I kept entering the same PIN because I thought the machine was glitchy, even when it said the PIN was wrong -- why would it let me into the menu if it was wrong?

Ughhh............... I got impulsive and did research in reverse -- buy first, research after but before opening the package so I can still get a full refund. Stupidly assumed that all TRRS headphones had the same ring layout for the ground/mic parts. And I assumed my old ass phone even had a mic ring.

Now I have to go back to the store and use my $300 headphones instead.

Did you check the water level in your battery? Sometimes it will spill out from heat while charging and eventually gets low on electrolytes, too low to hold a good charge.

I think when Google decided to give away Google Earth Pro, they didn't bother to upgrade the login server. Stating Pro is so slooooow.

Didn't want to cook, so I ate a Soylent bar. 12.5% DV, everything a growing boy needs!

Reminder on my phone told me to replace the furnace air filter, so I did. But the old one really wasn't all that dirty.

I know you are big on cooking so I can't say much, but the appeal of the Soylent just doesn't work for me. Have a Sirloin steak for later today.

But I guess that isn't a problem :)

Just poured my last bottle of tonic water. I guess this is my last gin & tonic for the season :^(

On the bright side, I can take the gin out of the freezer, and use the space for my water bottle for work.

It was more appealing before I got on my experimental food allergy medicine, because I couldn't eat squat then. It's appealing now for convenience. Zero effort, 100% nutrition. Although I like to cook, so I don't use it much anymore, especially because I can eat dairy & grains again. Oh man. I had a grilled cheese sandwich yesterday. It was so good :D

The weather is perfect for hiking yet I'm stuck here dealing with a clogged kitchen sink. I snaked from the sink to the wall but can't make the corner into the dirty arm. I snaked from the roof to make sure the vent pipe was clear. The clog seems to be in the dirty arm. Crap. I've already been the enzyme treatment and the boiling water. The drano is in now but rarely works. Double crap.

I've tried all 3 and it always clears my drains.
If none of that works, call a plumber. No need to beat yourself up.

Yeah, that's the next step. We've had the plumber out here twice in the past two weeks. Once for the totally blocked bathroom sink (siderite growth) and once to replace the popcorn popper. The guy is going to start thinking my wife is sweet on him.

Have you tried a plunger? That almost always works for me.

:D

I had to have my main sewer run replaced last year, the roots had gotten into it since the house was built in 69.

I'm getting too beaten up over time to dig trenches these days, at least I found a few guys did it for pretty cheap and did a nice job compared to a few places that had quoted it.

It's tricky with a double sink with a garbage disposer. I'll give it a shot.

You can plunge that, you probably need to plug up the one you are not.

That or take the elbow loose, might have crap stuck in there. That works a lot of the time, and is pretty easy.

Just watch out for any draino etc hanging out in there.

What the deuce? Free? When the hell?

Holy crap. My old job used to require a ton of mapping. I did a lot of stuff with Google Earth "Peasant" and couldn't get Pro because it was an annual fee that my employer would not have covered. Just looked it up and it is free. What the hell...

Well I'll be danged, the drano worked this time. I ran the water for awhile and added the Enforcer enzyme treatment. One plumber we had swears by the stuff. At least it gives me an excuse to delaying doing the dishes for a few more hours. :)

There is still a caveat about publishing the maps you produce with free Pro but you can use the tools and the import/export functions.

^Meh, I never used Google Earth for publishing. It was an easy to use analytical tool for preliminary things -- it was accurate enough for most things in reality.

For publishing, we had a few dozen ArcGIS licenses -- they were a couple grand a pop? Loved ArcGIS but so. damn. slow.

And I have to learn how to use Audacity now. I hate learning new things.

IT moved all our Arc licenses to Citrix with a centralized file server two states away. I hardly use it anymore because it is too slow. I really do understand the need for centralizing and standardizing data but if we're going to this I want fiber running from the server all the way up my butt and fused to my brain stem.
