My company supplies free lunch. A different caterer for each week day. I really like the caterer we have on Mondays, but was told they might be dropped due to them being able to supply only one protein for the budget we've given them. Since it hasn't happened yet it's not really a problem, but it is a concern that it might become a problem one day.

They call it "portable" because different "ports" render the same (MacOS, Windows, OSX, Linux, etc). It was a serious problem back when it was developed. You'd meticulously Create a document to look a certain way and put all kinds of effort into the formations and yet it'd open up with completely ruined formatting on another compatible platform. PDF was supposed to guarantee against it and they charged a premium to be able to create documents like that.My point is that you should not need to do stuff like that. If they want to call it portable, the format should be fully open source.
