Texting skills are beginning to approach 16 year old overly emotional teenage daughter levels of speed and finesse due to the person I got involved with texting me every few minutes throughout the day. Crazy.
I am envy. I use an app that lets my pc talk to my phone's messaging app. So I type my response on a web page, it forwards to my phone and the phone sends it then sends back a confirmation.

It's called mighty text and it's been a little buggy lately but I'm sure there are other similar apps.

I use Google Voice for that. If I had a Mac, iMessage would work the same way.

I should probably get a good rechargeable Bluetooth keyboard.

I need to go to the store but don't feel like going out because it's the weekend and everything is going to be ridiculously busy. And since it's summer and half the highway is closed down, as per tradition, it means there will be lot of weird traffic patterns in places that normally arn't as bad.

check out the anker keyboards. Very nice. Good price. Work with most phones and can also be used on a computer. Generally gets very good ratings on Amazon.

tried to load utube to watch a vid, and the vid wouldnt load

html5 player? I find I often have to spam refresh before it finally decides to load. It seems to be worse on some computers than others. My main home machine seems to be fine, my windows machine, good luck, it usually won't work, my work one is hit and miss.

Damn... I was driving north of Barrie years ago. They closed down the main highway to 1 lane in each direction for kilometers at a time. No work was being done on most of that stretch, but it was closed down.

The two-lane highways that get closed down to one lane and then get flagged... those are also a pain.

Yeah here it's horrible for that. The highway was closed for about a month. It took a few weeks before they even started the work. They finally reopened that section the other day, and closed another section, it's down to one lane, like literally, one lane, you can go one way but the other way you have to detour. And you have to turn left for that detour. I stopped trying to figure out the logic behind these setups, because clearly there is none. :p

They'll probably dig it all up again next year. Tax dollars at work. We actually made the top 10 worst roads in Ontario list.

They don't even have flagmen on each side to alternate the flow of traffic? That really sucks.

Oh well, time to get that Ford F150 and take it through the bush?

Nope, usually what they do is bring it down to 2 lanes, but this one they didn't bother. I've seen them use flaggers at times too but for some reason this time they were not. This was right in town so there's lot of detours you can take so probably why they usually don't bother with flaggers.

The wife didn't buy more than 2 T-Bones at a Safeway Grand Opening when they were on sale for $4.99 a pound.

She said they are on sale till Tuesday though, I asked her to pick up at least a half dozen more more :)

Oh right, I showed up at the dentist looking like a greasy thug earlier. It was 31 C outside and my backpack was on, so back of shirt was wrecked, as was my head.

Saw a spider behind my washing machine, and don't know if it's a recluse. Kind of looks like a little one, but my eyes suck. Too far away for no glasses, and too close for glasses. Paint is glossy, so the light on my phone just makes it a blurry mess. Decided to leave it alone, and think happy thoughts.

I haven't taken a leak since 1pm today... despite downing 500ml of coffee and a can of soda. Probably because I lost so much water weight in the sauna outside today. That can't be healthy.

Woke up very early today to answer a call ( I work the late shift). My bitchy neighbor called the company that owns the condo building to complain about a "mattress" that "I leave at my front door every day".

It's actually a packaged monitor that UPS was supposed to pick up a week ago.
I haul it out to the door every day to prevent the UPS info notice bullshit, can't stick the notice on my door without tripping over the package.

When I leave it out, it doesn't obstruct passing through the hallway.
Picture taken from the spot I leave the monitor at, misery's door is on the left (black doormat)

Those are some funky looking shoes there dude. What are those?

:D

It's a pair I bought at JC Penney some 10 years ago, maybe even more. They were $90 but discounted all the way down to $17. Probably my best clothing discount ever. Soooo comfortable.

I replaced the inserts a few years ago and the branding has worn off so I couldn't tell the brand. I would pick up another pair in a heartbeat if I could find them. I had more robust looking shoes fall apart many times.
