It's a pair I bought at JC Penney some 10 years ago, maybe even more. They were $90 but discounted all the way down to $17. Probably my best clothing discount ever. Soooo comfortable.

I replaced the inserts a few years ago and the branding has worn off so I couldn't tell the brand. I would pick up another pair in a heartbeat if I could find them. I had more robust looking shoes fall apart many times.

Sounds like they are falling apart. :colbert:

Thanks. I wasn't sure if you were in the US. They look a little like clogs but if clogs had a back for the heel.

I actually managed to wear out a pair of clogs once so I'm also impressed with anything that can stand up to regular wear.

I just tried the google image search in hope of finding another pair but no luck.

No structural damage after all this time, No traction on slippery surfaces anymore but overall they held up good:

^Congratulations on not having flat feet. All my heels are ground off on the outer edge.

Edit: And some paranoid person -- surprisingly not me -- went to buy a new door lock because someone else -- again, somehow not me -- lost his keys. Something about someone picking up the keys and following the guy who lost his keys home. Yep, I'm sure someone willing to trespass and break & enter will be stopped by a simple door lock. Let's ignore the five windows on the ground floor you can easily climb through... but the lock, OMFG, the lock.

Well, the genius who was paranoid about one person picking up a lost set of keys on the street AND magically finding who it belonged to AND was willing to break-in/murder has now made it an open door policy -- he doesn't know what the hell he's doing and we currently have no working lock.

Ordered a Wii U online and got some eshop credit figuring it was time to finally score some Nintendo 1st party titles I've been holding out on until now in light of the 40% off Eshop sale but as it turns out I can't buy anything. I can't add anything to my eshop digital library until I first log on with my Nintendo ID with the system in question, but by the time it arrives Wednesday the sale will be over and the 1st party titles currently going for $35 will go back to $60. Bleh. Fuck Nintendo. I would say I should have skipped the Wii U entirely in favor of NX. But honestly, in hindsight I think I should skip them both.

Bought a cold drink yesterday and put it on the top of my vehicle while I put the rest of items inside the vehicle. About to start it and drive away when an old man walked up in front and pointed at me while said something. Finally I realized that he was saying that I still had the cold drink on top. The mind is the first thing to go indeed. <shyly smile>

And that was not the first time I left a cold drink on top. A while back, I drove to work and then water started to pour down on the driver window and I thought it was odd because the sky was clear. Of course, the water was from a cold drink I left on top. LOL.

Spent over an hour figuring out why my LCD was not working, was starting to worry that some of the pins on the atmega were not valid for use with the LCD, as I was using pins that were not the same as the code example.

Turns out I had to jumper the RW pin to ground.

I think a lot of people have done that, here's 2 I did that was worse, or could have been. A open briefcase filled with important papers, and an open can of beer that I had left on my trucks grill guard. The briefcase flew off, but the beer stayed put all the way to the store where some guy pointed it out.

Spent all afternoon unhooking my receiver, speakers, and subwoofer. Damn, that receiver is freaking heavy. Completely forgot how big a pain it was to move around.

And now I have to figure out how to sell/get rid of a 35 lb subwoofer -- I won't get much money for it, but if I do sell it, person picking it up will have to navigate a flight of stairs -- just screams lawsuit.

Edit: I have no sound and don't feel like plugging in my $300 headphones.

Game over. No one wants my broke ass bicycle for about the price of a Happy Meal. Think I'm going to just wheel it to a store a few blocks away tomorrow. FML.

Edit: Boo ya, got rid of my effing bike. Wiped it down and took it over to the nearby bike store after taping the broken spokes back together -- to mark them out and avoid jabbings, no they won't work anymore. Freed up 10 sq.ft. on the porch.

I'm taking a nap. There's a knock on the door. I ignore it.

Knock again. Louder. Longer. Insistent.

"OK! Hang on!" I get dressed, answer the door.

Pizza guy. For 721. I live at 715.

You had ONE job to do. How do you fuck that up? How do you not even double-check the address on the paper in your hand when someone doesn't come to the door the first time you knock?

The games I want to buy from the Steam Summer Sale are only 20-33% off, and I already own all the good games in the PSN Flash Sale :(

The only place I can get the speakers I want are online and they're low on stock. Would prefer to walk out the door any buy them in person. Gotta wait until Tuesday though.

Edit: I want to get a set of Creative T20s, but I may be forced to buy Bose Companions for the exact same price due to lack of availability. Woe is me...

It's been exactly a week since I had the idea so I suddenly realized that I forgot to go by and nab one of these:
5ac4a7424844af22f8d9f0ed9fc1cdcc.jpg

They spent a couple days filming The Walking Dead at an abandoned convenience store an eighth of a mile from where I grew up. Actually, the "Do Not Mow" signs were all along the road right up to my neighborhood and the whole road was closed from 5AM to 9PM both days so they could've been filming my neighborhood too. They set a barricade directly in front of my mother's house to prevent her from leaving the neighborhood that way (and block thru-traffic).

Also spent the night re-cataloging my N64 shelf due to an iPhone glitch:
e129f3a9e7003717f82717b230ff8967.jpg

I could've sworn that I had deleted "SNES shelved" from my iCloud Numbers app even though I had not yet renamed "SNES shelved - Copy," but I somehow still had "SNES shelved - Copy" AND "SNES shelved" when I looked at it tonight. "That's not right," I thought, as I loaded it and confirmed that it was out of date. I backed up and tapped "Edit" to gain rename/delete options and everything was wiggling. I deleted SNES shelved and then renamed SNES shelved - Copy. I realized that when I deleted a file it left Edit mode and I had to enter it again to correct the name of the other file, but after correcting the name I was still in Edit mode. I left Edit mode and immediately noticed that something else was missing: my "N64 shelved" spreadsheet! I panicked and looked for an "Undo" or "Recently Deleted" section like there is for Photos. Finding none, I looked on google and found that it is gone forever. :(

I spent hours figuring out which boxes had manuals and game paks and quick reference cards etc even though I already had all that. Unless I keep an offline backup (I never connect this phone to a PC) this can happen again. BAH!

Just got racially profiled at a particularly ethnic indoor flea market. The shop owner was Asian and he was surrounded by weave shops and other businesses that cater to minority ethnicities. After greeting us, he made a bee-line to the stereo and started playing Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69." It couldn't have been more blatantly obvious what he was doing. I hate that song with a passion!

Micro-aggressions!

Triggered. :colbert:
