My 16 y.o. hp8100 won't recognize the paper in the tray. Just had to replace the power supply. The rollers and fuser before that. And another power supply about a year ago. Maybe $500 in charges. Called my printer guy and he can get me a 4250/refurbed, 45ppm vs 32ppm, monochrome, duplex, 2 trays....for $320. Should have already done this.

And I thought my 7 year old Canon inkjet was old when I replaced it last year -- ran out of ink, ink was more than buying a new printer.

Otherwise, I scraped the roof of my mouth again with my rock hard bread crust. My carpet also looks like turd after 2 months without vacuuming it... I am not in the mood to vacuum.

my 20yr old hp deskjet no longer feeds paper.
I got to pull each page out by hand.

no problem when it's just a 1 or 2 page confirmation email.
sucks when I have to do my taxes this year and printing a copy for my records.
# of pages = mini-book due to my high income and tax avoidance strategies.

looks like I'm going to buy a new printer b4 april 15.

Almost forgot... some fuckwit almost ran me over this morning. T-intersection, I was just about to cross the side street when I saw a dumbass in a mini-van. Having had enough experiences being almost run over, I decided to take one step off the sidewalk and stop to make sure he stopped.

Not only did the idiot not stop, he turned left and towards me. His car came within a foot of hitting me. All because he couldn't spare 5 god damn seconds. What was his hurry? Don't know because shortly after almost killing me, he parked his piece of shit on the sidewalk.

I transferred 3 of my remaining domains from my old registrar to my new one, since they had a sale, and for some reason 2 of them failed and I have to go through all the work again, and I wont get the discount because it's over now. It said the code was wrong... I copied and pasted it exactly, how can it be wrong?

Maybe, it contained hidden characters like tabs or spaces.
A software function that compares ascii codes but does not remove trailing spaces , tabs or other escape codes might disapprove your code.
This happens often when copying information from websites.

At work, we have a microsoft database. And sometimes we copy information in it by use of CTRL-C and CTRL-V. Another program tries later to access the database and comes up with an error that the database does not contain the relevant information. When we look it up, it is there. But when we examined what we actually copied, some hidden escape codes were copied along as well. Best way is to copy paste through notepad. Making it plain ascii text.

I cleared out some of the crap from my bookshelves. One thing lead to another and I ended up throwing out most of my old video game boxes, and then I vacuumed. Some prick got in the way and I couldn't finish completely wiping the floor, so I had to wipe it after dinner.

Didn't win anything for my work's Super Bowl squares thing.

Didn't get shit done this weekend (grocery shopping, wash, cleaning) cause I don't feel like doing anything. Well, I did get a lot of sleeping done but I needed it, badly. FML

I didn't have any need to go out anywhere while the Super Bowl was on so that I could take full advantage of the deserted stores and streets.

What kind of game boxes? Is it too late to get them back?

PC paper/cardboard boxes from 1990s to probably early-2000s. They were nice and works of art, but I just wanted the clutter gone. Half were the full-sized, half were the smaller DVD-sized.

Send me $1000 American and I'll dig them out of the garbage and Fed Ex them to you.

I have a pretty badass large box collection and would have loved them. 🙁

They've been flattened, and were taped to a wall for a few years. Not the best condition. Kind of hurt to let them go but I've got hoarders in the family so force myself to trash shit every once in the while to prove to myself I'm not like them...

You can still prove it next time by selling them or giving them away. Boxed PC collecting is less common but it is increasingly being seen as the last bastion of game collecting. I know a few collectors. A lot of my boxes are flattened too (ran out of shelf space a long time ago).

Do you people bother collecting the DVD-sized cardboard boxes for PC games? Not the plastic cases they eventually started using but the all-paper ones.

I may have a few left that I stuffed in a box a while ago. Ton of game manuals too -- a bunch probably from the boxes I just trashed. Would consider selling them on the cheap.

And FML, my paper shredder got full to the point that the sensor turned the unit off. Too lazy to empty it so I spent an hour shredding by hand...

Yeah. Lots of great games from that era too. If it's not too much trouble LMK what you find! Thanks.

Women's cross country team just ran by....they're dressed for winter.

Replaced the 4' florescent bulbs over my desk. Must have bought the 3K lumen ones instead of the soft glow. I'm predicting a change...soon.

Guess you'll have to stick to drawing the curtains closed and the internet...

My problem: I bought a new stainless steel dutch oven and there was a sticker on the bottom. FML. It did not peal cleanly. Using some interwebbing lurning, I used cooking oil and it looked like it completely dissolved the adhesive -- I tried and failed with olive oil years ago but canola worked this time.

Now I'm wondering why that worked considering that I can lube myself with cooking oil and not feel da burn. Polar/non-polar something?
