Yesterday i made such a good tasting meal (for several days), that i ate yesterday more then i should have. Today i went to the toilet and it felt like i had just ejected my warp core. 😱

For the record, folks: People do get sick / injured in the third world 😛

I guess they just have fewer treatment options and less money to pay for treatment...

Have some coupons (2) I have to use by tomorrow 11/19 and I am not sure what to buy.

So I went to Kohl's earlier tonight to use the coupons. Used the first one for a polo shirt for less than $1 (after coupon discount). Tried to use the second one but was unable to get anything close to the value of the coupon so I told the cashier to give it away. Tried to get one more dress sock package that was on sale but could not find it.

One of my iPod Classic 160s died. Well, it's still alive but is a dead iPod walking. Some of the pins on the dock connector corroded and will no longer make contact with any cord I've tried. :'( It is otherwise fully functional. The local Apple repair shop won't touch iPod Classics as they were designed to be all but impossible to open. 🙁 I wonder if there is such a thing as a long reach iPod connector?

Yesterday I stopped at a university surplus store and bought a fully functional 4th gen iPod Touch 64 for $20, (okay, so this line is a brag not a tale of misery). 😛

I'm pretty sure the 160GB can have the internal connector replaced: iFixit.com

The iPod touch 4th gen is just a miserable, unusable experience. Like the (unusable) iPhone 4, it has an A4 processor -- but only has 256MB RAM instead of the iPhone's 512MB. iPhone 4 got iOS7 and iPod touch 4th gen did not.

iPod touch 5th gen (A5 processor, 512MB RAM) is GREAT and the identical-looking 6th gen (A8 processor, 1GB RAM) is even better.

I absolutely loved my black iPod touch 5th gen 64GB, but I sold it to another forum member because I had an iPad mini 2 (A7 processor, 1GB RAM).

Now that I sold my iPad mini 2, I'm *really* thinking about getting an iPod touch 6th gen. I like to have an iOS device like iPad/iPod touch so I can use AirPlay and remote control apps without getting interrupted by phone calls.

When 99.94% of what I want to do with it is play music, it works great.

Just remembered how much I hate the updated "Music" app in iOS 9 (and some versions of 8.x). Apple felt like they had to overhaul it to justify their Beats Music acquisition. The UI is awful now. Nothing makes sense.

So yeah...I think the Music app in iOS 6 is superior. Probably wouldn't work right with my current iTunes Match subscription though.

i turned on Samsung pay on my phone and connected to my AMEX card which sends alerts to my phone every time I use my card (including non-Samsung Pay transactions)...

I drove from Dallas to Houston and back on Wednesday...I ending up getting gas before I left and on my way back at Shell...That evening I freaked out after getting notifications saying I had two $99 transactions from Shell.

I didn't know that the 'alerts' included the 'pings' to make sure the card was good...I logged into my Amex account and the proper amounts appeared so all was right in the world...

Yeah. I thought most of the test/"hold" transactions are just $1. I guess that gas station wants to be sure you have a high-enough limit to pay for the final amount.

ya they stopped doing that years ago, at least gas stations did. IIRC they were at $20 for a while, then upped it to $50 when gas was crazy expensive. Not surprised some stations would have it at $99 now, especially a truck stop.

Due to the sprained ankle, the doc wrapped/taped the shit out of my entire foot and told me to leave it on until I go back and see him next Tuesday. The FWP arrives when I go to take a shower and try to keep the thing dry..... KJATOIJSF*@UT(#09)#$)%%(@!&**

changed some venting to 3" venting. Hope it solved the goddamn problem.

I wanted to put a new collector box on the furnace but it was wrong size. This shit is driving me crazy. Hopefully swapping out the 2" vent with 3" will take the pressure off this furnace.

Some genius on public transit was standing dead center in front of the door, blocking it and wouldn't move despite me saying "excuse me." And she was even facing me, clearly saw me trying to get out. Not even a centimeter, didn't even acknowledge me, just kept looking at her phone. Other person had to completely get off the car to give me space.

And some cork place mats I got are leaving cork bits everywhere.

Forgot to turn my phone off and I slept with it inside my bag... 1' from my head with a mattress between both. Am I dun gone get the brain cancer?

I'd have pushed through. I was getting ready to rage today at Aldi. Some fat bitch was constantly positioning herself/cart to block aisle access. Three times I had to say "excuse me", and a nearby person would move. A fourth time would have set me off, but I luckily escaped her gravitational pull :^S
