FUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX....

I just found out that there's a user friendly command to shove NPCs out of my way in Fallout 2. I've been reloading and replaying parts every time stupid NPCs have been blocking me into narrow areas.

Had to take 15 mins out of my morning to move everything off my balcony because management is power washing the entire exterior starting @8AM today.

Eh, if you want to feel better about that, they're gutting my house next month for renovations due to extreme water damage (yay for insurance). I have to move literally everything inside to a truck or storage container for a week or two & live in a hotel. Don't know where to put the storage container because I park in a parking lot

Yikes! What are you going to do without a kitchen?! ;)

Aunt sent me a check (which I don't need) to help pay for my new landscaping. Can't decide whether to send it back with a "thanks but no thanks" note or just deposit it and send a thank you note.

I've got $672 left on 1 of my 2 student loans left. I will gladly take this as a donation - you can write it off come tax season....

My A/C unit is so loud, I can't do anything that involves audio like watching stuff on youtube.

noise-cancelling headphones?

mine appear to be amazing at filtering out white noise like my AC (not so much at filtering out train noise on my morning commute)

Mother effing cable box died. Swapped that one out at the store, the one that supposedly worked got moved to the location/outlet where the broken one was, and now that one doesn't work. Worst of all, the POS box has no LCD, just a single LED that turns on when it's on -- it is not turning on. My infrared camera tells me the box and outlet transformer thing are both at room temperature -- we didn't return the power outlet for the broken box, so tried both power adapters and both don't work.

Now I have to relocate the new cable box back to the old outlet and the old back to the new to see if they work... FML.

Part of me thinks that the person who first tried to troubleshoot the problem may have returned the working box to the store and kept the broken box -- they looked the exact same. Double FML.

Lots of home invasions lately, I don't want to seclude my outside environment hearing too much, just in case. Speakers could go loud enough but it's just too much noise/hard on ears etc. I keep a crow bar not far from reach to be on the ready if I do get a home invasion but need to be able to actually hear it happen.

This sounds more like a 3rd world problem now. :\

So I just choose between being comfortable or being able to listen to stuff at a decent volume. If I close the door I can get this room down to like 18C so if I'm that desperate that's what I do then turn it off.

I arranged a cable box and telephone in good places that were accessible and where their cords weren't being strained/under tension. Some genius decided to move both items so that the cords were under full tension and the phone was hidden behind a TV.

Wanted to take a day off to do nothing this week. Was told that I would be getting my annual evaluation today or tomorrow, so I didn't want to call in sick when the partner decides to give me my eval.

Now the weather is saying it'll be 107 on Tuesday and Wednesday and I'm not paying to run the AC to cool the whole house when the office is nicely chilled.

I also found out the office is unofficially closing early on Thursday, so if I call in sick, I'd have to use a whole day of vacation time instead of coming in for half the day before leaving.

I guess I'll have to take a day to do nothing next week.

Hah. Same here. I bought noise cancelling headphones in hopes that it would eliminate the background noise of the subway, but they are limited in effectiveness.

y'all try the bose ones? You'll stick out like a sore thumb but they seem pretty good on airplanes.

No, I haven't tried Bose. I can't afford to pay $300 for headphones. But I guess that's a 3rd world problem, not a 1st world problem.

I underestimated just how small some of the parts I ordered are. Could not get them as through hole. This is going to be hard to solder!

Somehow that can handle 30 amps... I really don't know how, without catching on fire lol.

Meh, Sony headphones look the best to me, but I use Sennheisers. Ya, I paid like $250 for my over-ear Sennheiser Momentums. First world FTW!
