Updated Windows yesterday.... It added a Windows 10 upgrade icon to my taskbar. I looked at it because I was semi-interested. Feel used.

There doesn't seem to be a way to make the icon go away. Push marketing sucks. There must be a way to make MS pay for their use of my screen.

I just set the icon to only show notifications. Didn't want to completely hide it for some reason.

Installed a brand new video card in my Linux machine and got 3 monitors working, but for some weird reason now my SD card reader stopped working. Only in Linux does one thing somehow affect something completely unrelated. I might have to buy another reader in hopes that that one works.

got a bill from a subcontractor.
called up my contractor, all prepared to argue and fight.

they said they'll call up the sub to see whats going on, and will call me back later today.

yeah right.. later today. I've heard that before.
rage/anger building as I'm imaging the scenario of calling them back tomorrow afternoon.

just got a call from them. the subcontractor will eat the costs because it wasn't in the contract w/the contractor.
I owe nothing to them.

Similar problem except it's not the coffee getting cold, it's fucking ME. They just cannot figure out heating/cooling in this office I work in. It seems they have the AC on in the winter (or now in the summer, except it's only low 70s outside and it's fuckin freezing in here). Not too often is it comfortable, and we've bitched many times but nothing seems to change. FML.

I've only got myself to blame since I'm home, but I don't have any good options... in 90 degree, humid weather, leaving the AC on low won't cool my room off well enough, while high makes it a bit too cold.

(and it's kind of a POS unit, so nothing like temperature control)

Accidentally spent an extra $15 on a set of 'Ultra' Sylvania headlights instead of the 'normal' ones. I'll be the judge of how much "brighter, wider, better" these things are. It's not worth my time going back to exchange them.
