I'm going to have to stay at a Holiday Inn Express because the 'city' i'm visiting this weekend doesn't have an Omni hotel (or anything like it).

Oh God. I've been getting the same beer ads hundreds of times and I don't drink. I am convinced that Google has something wrong about me in their database and are specifically targeting me with these ads. It's almost like the alcohol advertisers are fighting for my views and paying to one up each other in front of my eyeballs because they think I'm some lucrative target. I always skip when available. Is there some way to update their dossier on me to reflect that I don't drink?

I've been getting a lot of pro-vaccination ads running non-stop too... And I am doped up on them already -- wish that HPV one came out earlier though.

Oh, and YouTube now seems to automatically play recommended videos on the lower right side. They are really trying to legitimately jack up views.

I got stuck behind a jeep tour for a couple miles. The road was a graded gravel road, wide and well drained. I think it was a "My First Jeep" type tour as they were going about 15 mph on the 45 mph road. I finally got enough sight distance to pass the group. I hope I didn't destroy the feeling of being on a ruggeed offroad adventure for them but I had places to be.

Just went to make nachos, and found some of my shredded cheese had mold on it after putting it on the chips. I hope I got it all off. I don't like the way mold tastes.

My 5 year old computer is still working perfectly... Really hoping it doesn't die anytime soon. Main worry is the CPU fan. I would love to get a new, smaller, lower powered, quieter GPU.

Free your cheese. If it stays away, it's nacho cheese.

Today I'm trying to decide if I should go for the steak or the burrito when I go out to dinner with my wife and father.

And should I have the cheesecake or some pie?

The weight of these decisions crush me.

Have you tried pouring spilling pop on them?

i'm envious sometimes of unlucky bastards who seemingly can break their devices by simply coughing on them and just HAVE to get new replacements.

maybe i will start up that soda habit :sneaky:

The new pint glasses got here in two days, but two were broke.

I'll just live with it and still have 22 left, they were a cheap buy to begin with.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Surprised that only two were broke, even with all the "glass, handle with care" stickers on it, UPS or the warehouse looked like they had hit it once or twice with a truck :p

Pretty decent pint glasses.

Only took 12 out of the box anyways, have 10 replacements for storage.

*edit* Is strange to read what some people do, looks someone on Amazon selling em for 8 bucks a pop when you can buy 24 of em for a little over $30 with shipping.

+1 my PS3 won't die.

I have three dead PS3s and one working PS3. Am I just unlucky?

Got a 60GB launch unit that originally developed the red/yellow light of death in 2010. Now it has a different problem and a dead Blu-ray drive. I ruined the BD drive because the console stupidly doesn't let you eject a disc when it fails and it had a rented BD in there. The drive reset/alignment procedure for reassembly wasn't known back then so I had to use trial and error to get all the mechanical parts aligned right. At some point during the trial and error I must have blown a fuse on the controller board because the drive is totally dead now. As for the original problem, I paid to have it re-balled with lead solder and it came back with a different problem: The fan ramps up to sound like a vacuum cleaner the moment you turn it on and it shuts down almost immediately.

The 20GB launch unit boots with no video over HDMI or multi-out. I've never found a fix for this. Even sent it in to a pro and had it sent right back to me.

The 80GB 2007 model with partial PS2 BC was also reballed for the yellow/red light of death and also came back with the overheating problem. It doesn't even have enough time to finish booting before it shuts down.

We eventually just bought another 60GB unit refurbished on Newegg and it is still working today. I don't know if it was reballed with lead solder. If not, it would probably fail again so we have used it very sparingly.

Moral of the story: Avoid SpitFire Mods. He can't fix jack.

My PS3, which I sold years ago, died within the first month. The POS Bluray player stopped recognizing discs. Sent in a perfectly shiny unit, got back a completely scratched to hell unit. They had the same serial numbers though. Pissed me off...

I don't know. I purchased this PS3 back in 2008 when I got married. It's been working ever since. But to be fair I probably play less than 10 hours of video games a month and watch DvDs/ Netflix about 40 hours a month.

Turned out that getting married lead me to put way more wear and tear on the wife. (who is pregnant with our 4th)

I don't know why mine has survived. I purchased it to play little big planet with the wife. Wife being pregnant isn't a 1st world problem; but not being able to replace her with a new model when i've worn her out is.
