I'm just in a really bad mood today. Feeling the rage building inside me. This is day two in a row.. can't seem to push it away.
thought I opened up a $25k 5yr cd @ 5% interest in 2010.
(20/20 hindsight, it was an EXCELLANT move on my part, given the current interest rates.)
since it's going to mature next month, I logged into the acct for the 1st time to set it to not auto-renew (1.25% blah). but instead dump the $ into their savings acct.
well, fvck me to see that I only deposited $2500.
downside of having so much $... you don't notice $22.5k more in other accts thus don't catch that you missed a '0' in the xfer amount
hate you so much
1st world problem.... my back is hurting. Because I hurt it running. I was running on a treadmill so I can be more fit. I am trying to be more fit so I can fit in with the 1st world image more properly. My back probably tweaked because I've been doing a lot of Yoga to relieve my 1st world stress and in doing so my scoliosis in my spine has probably been correcting thus loosening up my supportive spinal tissue. Anyways... I am now taking a lot of Aleve.
This is the phone I really want...I am pretty sure that a big part of the rise of mobile devices is because almost everyone does want a dumb appliance instead of a hard to use and "emotional" PC that has viruses and freedom. Heck I am happy that Android is as open as it is seeing as how it will be the Windows of the future.
If you really want Gnu on a phone why not hunt down a Jolla phone?
How much of your life have you wasted on fonts, themes, and wallpapers? That's the FWP...
I played around with fonts and themes a little bit with Win95A back in '96/'97. Now I've got some mental condition where almost anything that's not vanilla / standard / default is revolting to me.
Holy 2011 Batman. Dude that is a dead end. Gnu on mobile in 2015 is either what Mark Shuttleworth is willing to throw money at or Sailfish. Sailfish is pretty cool, Meego given a second life after Nokia dumped it. I would love a Jolla tablet:
I like the hardware keyboard on the neo900. For me, that makes up for a lot of hardware deficiencies. I don't have a lot of use for a tablet. My phone has taken over that aspect. For something bigger, I prefer my netbook.
I just hope that when it happens, it isn't a locked down appliance that only lets you do what the company allows.
I'm having sleepless nites because I cant figure out how to invest 6 figures.
I hate seeing the $ just laying there on my table not working to make me more $.
(the $ is in the form of a check.)
How I spent 45 minutes in McDonalds drive thru again:
A woman in an Impala right in front of me asked for "hot fries," as if they make fries to order or would drop a single order of fries into the fryer. If been seeing more and more people requesting "hot" or "fresh" recently, as if that was a thing. This isn't In-n-Out Burger, lady! She held me up every step of the way because her window didn't roll down properly but she was the least of my problems.
Drive-thru jockey rang up sandwich and large drink as a combo with a full-priced drink + $0.20 up charge. He asked me if it was correct and I told him "no, I don't want a combo." Drinks alone are any size for $1 right now but normal price in a combo, so it's a rip off even before the up charge.
I also asked for a pack of chocolate chip cookies specifically "if you have them ready," which means that I am not willing to wait for them as they often ask you to do after you have already paid. The only reason I even stopped there was because my brother asked me to pick him up a drink and I added on because I hadn't eaten since the start of my shift 14 hours earlier.
I watched as the combo was removed, the large drink became left-aligned, and the cookies were added, but it disappeared before I could see anything other than the total. Sure enough, I get to the first window and my receipt shows that I was charged $1.59 for the drink. The guy never came back to the window so I had to pull forward and talk to the guy at the next window. I simply asked if they were still doing any size drinks for a dollar "because I was charged $1.59 even though it's not a combo." He took my receipt and a manager appeared several minutes later. She apologized and handed me exactly 60 cents, even though I was taxed 7.5% on 59 cents. Of course, I didn't mention that because it was already a hell of a lot better than the 60% extra they tried to charge me earlier and I just wanted to leave.
I had to wait even longer for my food. When I finally got it the guy told me that it would be two and a half minutes on the cookies. I asked if he needed me to pull into the designated parking but he told me to just pull up to the corner and he would bring them right out. He forgot to give me my drink which had been sitting there since he first went to get the manager, so I had to get him to open the windo again before finally pulling up to the corner.
The drive thru and the path around the corner has a single-lane curb and the corner is so close to the drive thru that there simply isn't enough room for a car to pull past the drive thru curb, around my car, and into the single-lane width path to go around the building. I had to pull forward for each car to exit the drive thru and pass on my right and then back up to allow them access to the path around the front. I had to jockey like this CONSTANTLY for 15 minutes when I could have just pulled out of the drive thru and into one of the spaces reserved for this crap on the right... and all because some genious thought it would be ready much faster than it was (I knew better from experience). Actually, the other idiot who didn't check when I asked him to must bear some of that blame because I wouldn't have had to wait at all if it weren't for his screw up.
I am also convinced that I would have got a parking space if I got back sooner. As it was, I had to park on the street and my brother, who's request prompted all this, was asleep.

CZroe, I have had your exact problem in pretty much every fast food restaurant I've been to in Georgia and Alabama. Every single time. The only exception was Taco Bell, who had their shit on point at 5AM.
