I tried the progressive lenses when I first had to accept binoculars bifocals. I hated them. My eyes would hit the transitional part...it was like I was on drugs for a second or so. Went to lined bifocals.

I have an I7-9700k on a ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 with 16 Gb of RAM, I get the same message. It allegedly has something to do with a single setting in the BIOS, but I don't care enough to track it down. No plans to "upgrade" to Windows 11 anytime soon.

Nope. Ended up with 2 pair. Distance/reading and computer/reading.

The other thing with progressives is that the thing you’re looking at has to be in the same zone on each lens or it will be magnified differently for each eye so be prepared for a lot of head tilting.

Mine were only in focus in the middle of the lens so I had to turn my head to look at the keyboard and the distance was too far up the lens so I had to tilt my head while driving. No thanks.

Yeah I am finding this out, my eyes ate pretty fucked already without this progressive stuff thrown in the mix.

Same here in CT and NY as well.... this is a national thing.

They did say there are no CREDIBLE threats in my area at least but I'll tell you this, if my kids were still school-age they would be staying home today anyway.

I met a teacher from NJ last month, she told me about the slap a teacher/school employee Tik Tok challenge that month. Each month the principal sends them the new challenge so they can all be aware of it. I was like wtf! I had no clue. My nieces are 9 and 5 so they don't have phones, but they also are very restricted from screen time in general.
