Ublock Origin must have had some updates, be cause I can reply to an tweets on my PC today. Oh, and Dr. Cutress cut off a bunch of people from being able to read his posts (well, I hope it was a bunch of people).

I was in the office today and the water fountain was making strange noises, water was cloudy, so I went to the vending machine to get a water bottle, I thought I'd also get rid of some loose change.
I press the button and it tells me $2.10. So I put a $2 coin and a dime (we dont have paper bills <5$ in Canada), and only then it tells me it's sold out. I tried one another alternative, also sold out. So I give up and press "Return change" - it spit out 8 quarters and 2 nickels, mot*erf**** :rage:

Not the best week drink-wise, a few days ago I bought this ice-tea brand I like (Pure Leaf) which has a safety seal and it was halfway opened. It was smelling fine, probably nothing, but it could've been tampered with, maybe someone took a sip, or added some pee or ivermectin, no point to risk over $3, so down the drain it went.

I had a salad and snacks at the start of my night shift and never ordered anything to eat since I was not hungry. And now it's 2am and I'm hungry with no way to get food.

We used to have a 24/7 poutine place which was the only source of food at this time, but they don't appear to be 24/7 anymore. Probably had to stop due to the high crime rate now days, especially in that area.

Cell phone pricing makes no sense. Google Pixel 5A brand new from Google - $449. Same phone brand new from random eBay seller - $449. Same phone used on Swappa - more than $449. Why would anyone buy from eBay or Swappa over Google directly in these circumstances?

I still haven't been transferred to my new gas supplier since the original one went bust (a month ago). Concequently I don't know what tariff I'm on or what I'm being charged - or would be charged if I turned the heating on. Hoping I can hold out till December before doing so. Fortunate this place is fairly well-insulated.

Okay, twitter is like being in a mosh pit with people who made a pact to not bath for a year .

Why do people post on topics where they clearly have no effing clue?? I've got to quit. I can't actually post a response to point this out because I've seen what happens when others do this.

If you have a problem with low blood pressure - take a stab at Twitter! Feeling down - take a stab at Twitter. Wife going thru menopause - stay the f**k off Twitter, you have enough problems ;).

The whole thing is seriously exasperating, but it's P&N material really.
The transfer is supposed to happen automatically if a supplier goes bust, but all I know is the name of the company I'm supposed to be transferred to, but when I contact them they just say the transfer hasn't happened yet and they can't tell me anything.

It's fortunate I grew up in a typical badly-heated drafty British house, so am used to being cold.

Ah, yes. I'd love to visit England, but I could never stay. The amount of rainy/cloudy days there makes New Hampshire look like sunny California.
Drinking a gallon of coffee a day probably isn't healthy.

The constant rain would make me go depressed. That's basically what it's like here at this time of year and I hate it and always look forward for the snow. Snow looks nice and is not as depressing as everything being wet all the time.

Detailed my car today but didn't get it all done because it was so filthy. Now I will have to wait until next weekend to finish it up.

It's not that rainy, really (unless you are in Wales - which is why a large part of England depends on Wales for its water supply).

It's not even that cold in winter. Rather it's that back in olden-days UK, only the upper-middle-class had anything as fancy as central heating, and nobody had heard of 'insulation'.

Just bought a Hoover.

On sale for 60% off and figured it was time for a new vacuum. I have a central vac from 1983 that still works ok, but a smaller vacuum is kind of nice if I just want to vacuum something real quick and don't want to take the whole hose out.

I'm legit excited at a vacuum purchase and just vacuumed the whole house. This is the pinnacle of adulthood.

Should have gotten a Dyson.

OK I have a real one.

After my mom died I got bombarded with all kinds of shit in the mail. Most of it seemed unimportant and some of it looked like scams, which I'm guessing is more common than ever after somebody dies in America.
I got so much garbage I couldnt even focus on the important things. I cant find the needed papers to collect my moms IRA and also apparently need personal property tax forms to register my vehicle and a lot of stuff to take over my moms mortgage. Also cant find the neat little booklet for paying the monthly mortgage, so every month I get a phone call begging for the fucking payments.

Being a grown up in the 21st century is downright unpleasant. I see why my dad used to complain all the time about governments and corporations.

end rant

tried to download Ontario's enhanced covid QR Code. The queue is 43k and it is currently suspended :colbert:
It's like they have never heard of AWS. Oh and it claims there are 5M+ people in queue. How did I get number 43k then?

If they got CGI or IBM to code this stuff, it's going to be such a shit show lol.

Made Neopolitan pizzas in my new pizza oven last night, fucked up and the 1st one stuck to the pizza stone. I was unable to save it so I had to throw it away :( Wasting pizza's almost as big of a crime as wasting a good beer.

Coupon expiration dates are in fine print so you don't notice them until you're already in the restaurant. I see what they're trying to do. I'm WOKE.
