My FWP of today was waking bright and early at 7am...by construction at the property/lot next to my apartment building. It sounds like jackhammers and backhoes digging up concrete.

It's been going on for over 6 hours straight so far. I'm guessing they'll be there again at 7am tomorrow.
Get up at 6am and rob them of 7am waky, waky, win. Ha!

Honestly, I'm up most mornings by 5:30 or 6 and only ever sleep for a few hours at a time. This morning I just didn't go to sleep until around 5:30am. I'd have been awake soon anyway, which is why I considered it more a FWP, heh. The awakening was just a bit ruder and bang-y than I cared for.

So I have to give back the $10K PPP money cause lenders don't qualify. Fucktards...anyway, Local Fed Bank said they would roll it into a 5yr loan at 1%. Sweet, paid down one of the rentals. Nope, 1st statement, 2 yr at 18%.....WHAT? Payment was due 10/4 and the loan officer won't return my calls. The last time I was past due on any bill was 25 years ago when the wife didn't give me the mail.

18%....what's next? Debtor's prison?

The gift that keeps on giving....it is 1% but since the loan wasn't forgiven, the interest charges started last May. Whatever....but wait.... the loan also started last May so I have 8 months to pay the $ back.

Saw a guy get busted for shoplifting. I thought he might try to bolt, leaving behind the cart but sadly he complied with the Asset Protection guy and went back inside. So no entertainment for me. The way AP was acting they definitely were on to him so maybe he knew the gig was up.

I'm trying to post a short video on Facebook but it just stops processing and nothing ever happens. Ever since their last update a bit over a year ago it sucks so much. Way too much glitchy javascript bloatware. Yeah I know, I should probably delete that shit.

I kind of want to start my own version and try to compete... but yeah, good freaking luck with that lol. Coding it is like 1% of the work. Marketing it is 99% of the work. Not like I'll ever convince family to switch to something else.

Weird, if you dont have the ability or desire to run, I think you should give up on shoplifting.

A horse & his dog Molly visted my job yesterday. Horse stands 17.3 hands high, solid black, he is part of a charity to raise awareness about the need for mental health care.

All I know is I walked a solid block and down a hill to see & pet the horse & his dog. I could have had a ride but they didn’t have a box & I wasn’t wearing boots, plus 17.3 hands is a big horse!
His name is Hercules and he had a career as a funeral horse. He was gorgeous and so gentle. He certainly improved my mental health 😀

Shoplifting and theft in general here is basically free game. Clerks are only allowed to ask them to stop, in which the shoplifters will promptly tell them to F off. Once they are off the premise they can't do anything at all. The dollarama here gets shoplifted every day at the same time. Bus shows up, the shoplifters get off, go in and shop and leave without paying and get back on the bus when it comes back for the 2nd round. One of my coworker's wife used to work there and said it's like clockwork. All she can do is watch and hope they don't hurt her. Nobody can do anything about it. It's terrible. They need to actually change the laws so that victims of theft are actually allowed to physically stop them. I would not expect a minimum wage worker to do it, but a business should be able to hire a security guard that chases them down and gives them a good beating, and it should be 100% legal. Or a business owner or home owner etc should be able to do it too with zero repercussions. As long as you call the cops and have video evidence of the theft. Just so people don't start beating people randomly and say it was theft. Theft is so bad in my city because the laws enable it.

I still need to figure out how to deal with them on my acreage property. I can hide stuff to some degree but I do eventually want to build actual buildings there and want to be able to keep tools etc. It's ridiculous having to bring everything home each time. I think the key is to just make it a pain in the ass and hope they give up. Several gates, alarms that go off if a code is not entered properly, bitterant gas discharging in the buildings etc. Make them WANT to leave. Maybe even Justin Bieber blasting over a PA system. I think that would be considered animal cruelty for all the wild life in the area though. Actually I could have moose or bear calls going off on a PA system. If a bunch of bears show up maybe the thieves will GTFO.

You could deal with it by using electronic doors, for both entrance and exit.
Like Area 51 or something. But I dont think the average customer would tolerate that. And its too expensive besides.

Normally I believe that retail workers are told to not intervene for the most part. But this was AP.

I want to go to bed but I took a shower a while ago and washed my hair so it's still drying. Long wavy hair, the struggle is real. :tearsofjoy:

I finally chopped my 4+ year old pony tail off in August...and I'm overdue for another haircut already.

Had to do a brake job tonight. Maybe the caliper is stick a bit or the lines weren't fully bled. Anyway, one pad out of 3 decided it was over and grind metal to rotor.

So, I'm still awake posting this lol.

Wanted to look at a condo to see if I would consider the complex in the near term future but the unit went contingent before the Open House.

I changed my oil a couple of weeks ago and I've been trying to dispose of the used oil. Went to Advance Auto Parts, "Sorry, our tank is full". Went to Autozone, "Sorry, our tank is full." Great. Went back to Advance Auto Parts a week later, "Sorry, our tank is full."

Maybe I'll just dump it on my neighbor's property or something.
