The receptionist at work often has guessing games, and today was Guess that Gadget. Well, I provided such a great description of the gadget that she thought I cheated and then disqualified me.

When I tried to convince her that I didn't cheat (I actually own one), she asked me if I thought she was some dumb blonde bimbo. Well, yeah...

sigh

Although not very original when I'm playing single player pc games my progress in them keeps getting hampered by the distraction of watching tv shows at the same time.

I ran out of shaving cream today, but found this can of Barbasol "Real Man" edition:

Wow, this can must be really old. I can't imagine someone doing a modern day "Real Man" ad campaign today, because they would get canceled by transgender rights activists.

My departemental web server VM just randomly stopped working. I had to do some weird NAT crap to make it work and it's always been finnicky and now it just won't work at all. Probably something that got installed on the machine that is breaking
Yes. Ironically, the top three winners were all guys...

Guys know their power tools. :p

Why is it that any official body or large corporation you call, you always get a recorded message telling you they are "experiencing an unusually high volume of calls, so wait times will be extremely long"? No matter when you call you get that same message.

It's _always_ unusual, never do any of them say the truth, i.e. "that we are too cheap to employ sufficient staff to answer the normal and entirely predictable volume of calls that we are in fact getting".

More like "We don't want to talk to you, just shut up and keep paying us"

Hey...that one woman is ignoring your calls as fast as she can!

My FWP for the day is...diarrhea. Not me...but our new 10+ week old puppy.

He was fine all day yesterday. We put him in his cage crate while we went out for dinner...got home, let him out...went outside...and BLAT! Went on all evening. Got up about 0530 to discover he learned how to get off our bed...found his way downstairs...and BLAT! right in the middle of the dining room hardwood floor...with a large puddle of pee about 10 feet away.
Dammit. He was on his way to being 100% potty trained. First time he's peed or pooped in the house in a week. But...he's sick, so I can't fault him too much. I presume he tried to wake me...but I didn't.

Sure, blame it all on the dog ;)

Some people are so fucking clueless. It really grinds my gears. I'm sitting here in the parking lot like most parents waiting for my kid's thing to start so I'm just chilling in the dark. Right across the way another car pulls up and just sits there, with its bright hid headlights on full display right into my car. It's been over 10 minutes and not once had she looked up. Fuck you asshole.

2nd time this week some asshole had no idea what's going on around them just sitting there in the parking lot illuminating their surroundings for no good reason. Zero courtesy.

Not clueless, it's others don't matter.

Hammer time or better, pellet rifle.

Granted, swat might haul you out of your car...

Turns out that the uninterruptible power supply is interruptible. Our grand unified database of everything is feeling disempowered.

My FWP of today was waking bright and early at 7am...by construction at the property/lot next to my apartment building. It sounds like jackhammers and backhoes digging up concrete.

It's been going on for over 6 hours straight so far. I'm guessing they'll be there again at 7am tomorrow.
