why did you create a hotspot to log in instead of just connecting directly to the coffeeshop hotspot?

This particular coffeeshop has a router that blocks gaming addresses oddly enough. and I occasionally game online at a coffeeshop.

Hummm...I paid taxes on my salary/income <ding #1>.

I save them money and put them into my reward checking/savings accounts and pay taxes on those interest <ding #2>?

No?
Right, so you pay taxes once on your income from wages and interest. No double ding.

Two months after sending in my state tax return, the state has admitted that it received it. It's a start.

But they need the $ for all of the illegals and can't refund you, amirtie?
Nope, they need the money to cover all the revenue foregone through tax breaks for the rich geezers, welfare ranchers, welfare cotton farmers, auto dealers, wood stove purchasers, prospectors, and medical pot dispensaries. The first thing any new governor does when coming into office is propose more tax cuts w/o paying the slightest attention to spending, thus creating a crisis that can only be solved through further gutting schools and social programs.

I was cutting wood today, and didn't feel like putting my face shield on, Bucked up a bunch of pine I skidded out of the woods, and took it to the burn pile. Since the wood was dirty, I started every cut by boring in to minimize dragging dirt in the kerf. That gave me a rooster tail of chips in my face every time. I still didn't feel like putting my face shield on :^/

And you people still vote for that? That's about fucked up. Like Cali "fucked up" voting except they over tax their peeps. "Hey, how about an extra 10%." Sure...

Trying to make an online order on Home Depot's site but when I click add to cart it just highlights the button blue and does nothing. Shitty web design pisses me off so much. Stop using excessive complex javascript calls that don't work properly in every browser FFS. not to mention the site is so slow. I think Home Depot and Canadian Tire are both competing to see who can make the most unusable online shopping experience. Canadian Tire is still worse though. The page just randomly refreshes while you're in the middle of trying to type in the search box. It's horrible.

I ordered a CD from Amazon.fr as the CD isn't available in the U.S. Amazon.fr signed me up for Prime.FR even though I checked f' off on each and every attempt to get me to sign up. I don't even have Prime for the U.S. I only knew this happened because I got a CC fraud alert this morning (exactly one month after placing the CD order) showing the charge. I logged into Amazon.fr this morning and sure enough, they had signed me up so I cancelled that. The CD still isn't here.

Amazon is so devious. Once or twice recently when I was checking out, the only "free shipping" option available came with a slice of Prime. :confounded: So I abandoned my cart both times.
Things are back to normal now though, and I always opt for free shipping.

Who knows how many get suckered into Prime - between THAT ploy, and the random interstitial pages in the order process where blindly clicking "Continue" signs you up for Prime.

I figure that if Prime was worth the money, Amazon wouldn't need to try to trick people into signing up.

I use USPS Informed Delivery function from the post office. Every day I get an email with images of the mail that I should receive that day, also tells me if they will deliver packages. It's usually pretty spot on.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a scanned image of an envelope from my state's Department of Revenue, ah, finally getting my state tax refund.

It didn't come. The other mail listed (junk mail) did come, but no income refund check. Went to the site listed in the email to report missing mail. It states that I should wait a week before reporting missing mail.... well OK, I'll wait.

A week later it still had not been delivered, so I went to the link in the email... and it told me that the link has expired. WTF, the wait a week is so the link can expire.

The check did finally come, 9 days after the scheduled delivery.

Didn't know that existed. I'm so wary of the mail anymore, never knowing what i didn't receive.

Our youngest son's 19th birthday was the other day, and we bought an ice cream cake for him.

For the last 3 months, I've been very strict on what I eat so I could lose some weight, but I had a very small piece of it on his birthday. However, there was so much of it left over, it's still in the freezer and the rest of the family have been eating a piece of it for dessert since then, and it has taken some serious will power not to join them. I imagine I have at least two more days before it's all gone so I don't have to see it anymore.

If you eat it, it will be gone and you won't have to see it anymore. Problem solved.

I found this several years ago after my renewal stickers for my vehicle tag never came. That took way too much effort to get replacements from the DMV.

Now that I'm 35 and that much closer to 40 I probably should be watching my diet more myself. That means when I order poutine I should probably order a small instead of a medium or large.

I bet every time she walks around it messes up with the weather services sensors, especially the earth quake detection stations. Any guy brave enough to go in bed with her probably should get their confined spaces training and carry a 2 way radio in case of emergency.
