Punishment basically doesn't work with dogs and cats - by the time you find what they did, they don't remember doing it, and just learn to be afraid of you. Punishing animals is mostly about making you feel better, and is a total dick move.

Cats are typically very studious about using litterboxes unless there's something wrong with the litterbox or they're very ill. I've litterbox trained foundling kittens in hours.

Yep. I'm getting ready to adopt a dog, and from everything I've read online, positive reinforcement is the best way to go. Instead of teaching your cat that it's bad to vomit or shit on the floor, teach them they need to do it somewhere else. Otherwise, they will only learn that vomiting and shitting is bad, and they will get confused and just vomit and shit all over the place.

I'm sure that's all true, but you're overlooking the fact that cats are evil. ;)

Ugh condenser in my truck's A/C has a leak, going to cost over $500 to fix. There goes this month's credit line payment and then some. I'll never get this thing paid off. Really should not have bought this truck, it set me back way too badly financially and stuff keeps breaking.
Do you need ac up there? I think I'd leave it broken, and just suffer through both hot days.

It can still get pretty hot, it does not last long though. Maybe 2 months. I contemplated not bothering but even when it's +20 out it's like +30 inside the truck. Though at $500 that's the cost of a small window unit. But by the time I get a good inverter etc may as well just do it properly.

My beloved Samsung 55" TV fece'd the bed last weekend so after talking with Samsung support I ultimately decided to just get a new one.

Ordered a 75" LG from Best Buy which got here yesterday. The only thing is... I don't think it'll fit on my electronic fireplace TV stand. The mother f'er is gonna be like an inch or two too big I think (gonna have my bro help me with it later).

So I'm thinking I'll have to rent a Uhaul van to return it to the store (store return was the only option when I checked), and get a 70" one. Lol poop

I wanted to go big or go home

I'm pretty sure I must be missing something here. Does the fireplace have some sort of molding on the top such that anything you put on the top has to fit inside the molding?

What I'm trying to say is, if the top is just flat, can't you just let a couple inches hang off of each side?

Fun fact. If you have type A+ blood, you have a 45% increased risk of respiratory failure from an infection with corona. But if you have type O (apparently + or -), you have a 35% reduced risk. Guess who's A+. F*ck you universe.

Well that sucks just ran out of minutes on my cell mid call and it disconnected me lol. I recently switched to Lucky Mobile as their plans are cheaper and went for the $15/mo one figuring 100 minutes would be enough but I somehow went over that in a couple weeks. I don't even talk much on the phone so I don't really get it. I'm suppose to be able to pay to get more minutes but not finding the option and I can't call support.

I ended up changing my plan to an unlimited minutes one but that won't take effect until like the 17th.

There was 30% of a baby frog in the kitchen this morning. A head, and two front legs. Pretty sure that's the cat's handiwork, but I have no idea how they got a frog.

Yeah the top is flat, but the new TV had two stands that attach near the edges of the TV (my old one had just a single stand in the middle, though it was mounted in the back to a different TV stand; the fireplace one is new).

Once I got my brother's help to get the TV out of the box, I measured from center to center of the stands and they were about 58" apart; the top of the fireplace stand is 54". It's my own dumb fault for ordering it; I just didn't realize it would be that big and was thinking of my current TV with the center stand. Plus i was excited to get a new, bigger TV lol.

Plan to take it back to BB tomorrow cause that didn't work out this morning.

Note to self, always get the BIG bucket of drywall compound. I always end up using more than I think I will.

Ran out of drywall compound, for the 2nd time. Was hoping to finish the skim coat tonight too, tomorrow I start night shifts so probably won't have a chance.

It's kinda weird where I live. You have some people who are going to the grocery stores with full face shields and gloves, while others (mostly kids) are shouting outside without a mask on in Black Lives Matter protests.

Those kids are going to be bummed when their grandparents get sick and possibly die from their stupidity.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the fancy ones either. Especially the smart fridges, I don't want any of that stuff in my house. I think it will be like TVs where you won't have a choice.

Can always buy a standup freezer and rewire the thermostat to turn it into a fridge I guess.

Last "fancy" washer my ex-wife purchased had its main circuit board fail shortly after the warranty expired rendering it completely non-functional. The price to replace it was nearly as much as a new washer.

Staring at a wall is better than making grass shorter... I have to do mine tomorrow. It's past due, but my back was dicked up last week.

my back and knees are dicked up every day...yet I manage to get shit done...usually.

I'd prefer to mow every two weeks...but this year has been so wet than if I wait that long...the grass is 6"+ long.Too long to mulch cut.
