Went to Sprouts today. Zero toiletpaper in the store. I'm still ~1.5 months away from needing any, but irritating none the less. Otherwise, the food stocks looked pretty good, but that isn't the place to get my beloved spam. Another day...

Managed to find a site in Australia that has TP in stock. Not at a point where I need to order from overseas yet, but at least I know it's an option. :p

Aparantly our Walmart got a HUGE shipment, like spanning throughout several aisles. So maybe there actually is some left now. The hoarders can only fit so much in their homes, they have to stop at some point.

Did manage to get a small 8 pack at the grocery store the other day. Someone announced on FB that there was some so me and a coworker went on our break lol.

Basically any time I see it I'll buy some, but not going to go too crazy either. I'm running low on coffee so I might go to the grocery store on Tuesday when I'm off, and pickup more kitty litter and see if there's any TP at same time. I should actually start making lists of stuff to buy. I tend to just go whenever, but I try to minimize it now and make my visits count.

where do u live that oj is 1.5?

Southern US. It was Kroger brand 1/2 gallon for $1.50 before the virus mess. Not anymore. It is $1.90 for the same thing.

If you want brand name OJ such as Minute Maid or Tropicana, then the price was/is higher than Kroger brand. Always.

I just bought Kroger brand half gallon OJ yesterday and it was $2.50. Simply Orange brand was on sale for $2.99.

I think I'm gonna get a new mattress. I'm just getting too hot in the one I have (my first memory foam one, it was a killer deal on Amazon a couple years ago or so)..

I always turn the heat off, even in winter (gets to around 65 or less, or a little warmer if it's warmer outside), or use AC a bit in summer, and wear long pajamas and t-shirt but it happens even just sleeping in underwear.

It's the worst when I eat right before bed, it seems (I dunno, body digesting food while sleeping? Sure seems to be correlated when I eat before bed and when I sweat the most), but even if I don't eat I can get warm.

I really like the memory foam cause I no longer have a sore lower back after getting out of bed, but I just hate to get another one that's like my current one. Hopefully can find one that breathes better.

Virus cancelled our baby shower, which was a bummer. Gifts are slowly trickling in, which is pretty nice as we don't have any help in cleaning / setting up our house for the first baby. We still have a mountain of cardboard but I'm grateful to not have a house totally full of gifts all at once.

So rent is due and I have a new credit card payment due in the middle of the month. I had to get to an ATM today and deposit money in my checking account. Next month this wouldn't be a problem since I changed my direct deposit to my checking account. Unfortunately that took too much time.

Since I was out risking my life anyways we swung by the store to top off my stock of food. My high risk mother needed a few things and preparing to go out herself which was a horrible idea so I grabbed her stuff. While I was in the store a lady made a crunchy sounding cough. May the force be with me as I wait two weeks to see if I'm going to die.

Crunchy coughs are the best. You can almost see the mucous traveling from their throat into their mouth, then they swallow it back down.

Stay safe!

IIRC, Kroger OJ 1/2 gallon was never over $2 around here, ever. Cheaper prices is one of the many benefits living in lower cost area. You in the coast? CA?

I went to Safeway today. They didn't price gouge for the past two weeks during The Great Stupid but they sure are making up for lost time this week. Tropicana Pure Premium at $4.99 for the half gallon 54oz cartons, Land-o-Lakes butter at $4.99/lb (sold out of store brand). Most cereals at ~$5/box.

Try to get the 1/2 gallon plastic jug with the handle on top, not the bottle like the one you posted above. I am too lazy to post a pic now.

One more thing. I usually get a survey for KrogerFeedback at least once per week to earn 50 points of fuel discount (100 points for $0.10 off each gallon of gas) but for the last few weeks, I did not get anything from Kroger since the virus mess began. Did you get any from Kroger?

my local supermarket sells made to order sandwiches.
it's on sale this week at $4 for a foot long.
unfortunately, today they were out of the meat for their Philly cheesesteak.

all they had left were cold cut meats (turkey, ham, peperoni, salami, roast beef, etc) and tuna.

since im stuck at home because of govt virus orders, I could make my own sandwich cheaper by just buying the meats myself.

I wanted the cheesesteak because it takes more effort to make the filling.

sigh..

Not sure if this is a problem or not... Got spruce pitch on my fingers, and it made them sticky, but it smells good. I don't know if I'm more pleased or irritated :^/

Got a letter a few hours ago. I'm laid off along with 1200 other people.

Fucking commies and the lying cover up bullshit. I feel for the people but the fucking government is evil.

I feel ya. Today is my first day of furlough.

They're telling me "maybe May" I can return but I don't really know. Picked up the water and hand sanitizer I left in my office before getting the call and it felt like collecting my things after getting fired.
