What first world problem did you have today?

I tried adding a new album to my iPod Classic. Syncing was behaving very badly, not copying the album over, claiming it did, and increasing the reported space available. I tried deleting and re-adding the new album and a few other albums to see if that fixed the problem… nope. Tried resetting the iPod and restarting the PC… nope. So I took the drastic step of restoring the iPod which wipes it clean and then installing just the new album. That is when iTunes decides to issue the correct error message that the album is incompatible with the iPod. The new album is 24bit, 88.2Khz format and the iPod Classic can only play up to 16bit, 44.1Khz tracks. I feel like a peasant. dbPowerAmp to the rescue!

Holy crap how you manage that? I barely make that in a YEAR.
Been looking at offgrid properties and some of them are in the 50-75k range. Would be pretty crazy to be able to afford that in a matter of months.

I shorted oil when it was $50/barrel.
it's now $20/barrel.

I got extremely lucky in that Russia refused to continue their oil agreement with Saudi. Saudi then went to oil war with Russia by dropping oil prices HUGE.

Not today. Yesterday we discovered another break in. They cut through expanded steel doors to get at stuff thats worth nothing. They pulled stuff out of drums that had already been inventoried for shipment. Mixed like 20 containers of sorted items and went to the bathroom in the building.

One good thing. Something must have happened that spooked them. They stashed thier tools and we found em under another building while we were cleaning up.

Spent 2 days stripping the wallpaper off of the plaster and spackled problem areas. Wife said to leave the 80 nails that were there because the multitude of stuff was going back up. Finishing up today so paint might happen.

Not sure whether to post this in FWP or the reverse FWP thread...

Because we have such a mild climate here, almost not of the houses have an HVAC system, instead, relying on Cadet wall heaters for heat.
Yesterday, just as we were getting ready to go do our grocery shopping, my wife notices that one of the heaters is shooting sparks out like a house-a-far... I shut it off till we got home and I could troubleshoot it...and last night, it SEEMED to be working fine...until I noticed an orange glow coming from i side the heater cavity. A couple of wires had fried , the insulation had burned off... <phew> That was close.I coulda been like....

Called the local Ace Hardware/electrical store this morning. I explained to the manager what was going on...gave him the model number of the heater, (miraculously he had ONE in stock) To my great surprise, even though all their service electeicians were off for the weekend, the manager brought the heater to the house and installed it. Since I had to pay a 1 hour minimum service call, he also installed a couple of dimmer switches that I had bought but not yet installed. Total charge, about $250.

I wish I knew what that meant lol. Either way going to guess you had quite a lot of money up front to do that with? Been curious to look into oil stocks but with my broker website I need to buy in groups of 100 so I can only really afford penny stocks.

I went to Kroger earlier tonight and it did have eggs and chicken and other goods but the prices were higher than before the virus hit the US.

Eggs, large dozen, old price - $1/ea, new price - $1.5/ea, 50% increase.
Chicken, legs and thighs, old price - $1/lb, new price - $2/lb, 100% increase.
Campbell noodle soup can, old price -$1.5/can, new price - $2/can, 33% increase.
Orange juice, 1/2 gallon, old price - $1.5/ea, new price - $1.9/ea, 25% increase.

All goods above are Kroger brand, except the noodle soup cans.

There go my $1,200 check from the government.

I remember when my son was 16 years old he wanted a car and we went round and round until he dropped the subject! School was out and he managed to find a job do odd jobs on a construction site!
Right before school was to start we said to me - dad, I want a car and I can pay for ti!
I matched what he had earned that summer and he managed to get himself a real nice car for somebody his age! I was proud of him!
