Twas jaywalking across a busy street with median strip. Got to the median with no problem. There were no breaks in traffic coming the other way for a several minutes. Po po passed by in the direction we had already crossed. Saw him make a u-turn to come back our way. Decided twas a good time to abandon the endeavor and return the way we came and walk down to the light to cross. Wasted more time waiting to jaywalk than it would have taken to walk to the corner in the first place. Crime did not pay today.

My beer is 20% ice. Left it on the top shelf of the fridge where the cold blows down. I should have just moved it and got a different beer. Can't wait til good weather's here. I can just leave it on the floor, and it's the perfect temperature.

I ended up finishing the ice clump after it after it melted. Tasted like Coors Light. A little better actually :^D

Woke up this morning with my right hand hurting, and my little finger kind of swollen and sore. My wrist has been bothering me lately. Seems like it could be rheumatoid arthritis. Getting old sucks. Anyone that says they like being old is a dumbass. Being 25 forever would great. I'd trade 20 years off the top to be 25 the whole time. Quality>quantity.

I found a family of dead caterpillars in a strawberry once. I think they were born inside of it and later died. That was a rather lucky bite as I missed them, or at least most of them. :p

Hey, princess, the wife just spent a week in the hospital and had a ton of tests run. Upside, she would have never done it otherwise.... So MRI/MRA/spinal tap....it's not MS/Lupus/etc. Most likely Bells Palsy, treated, and RA for her 5 month eye old problem. We'll see next week.

Heh, princess, when's the last time anyone called you that? :D Thankfully I have guns.

Bet she didn't have caterpillars in her corn! Also bet she didn't have that shit 25 years ago. Right once again! : polishesnailsonpants :

Glad to hear she's OKish. If I recall, Bells palsy is irritating, but not particularly harmful. Always something...

A few years ago now I guess, a friend of mine's son got married for the first time. He was oldish for marriage; ~36 years old, but still young. Within a year his new wife was dead from colon cancer. Life's a motherfucker :^/

Junk Mail from SiriusXM has been annoying since housemate bought her car in 2010. Since I bought one in March, it's been insane - 2-3 envelopes a week and multiple calls on our cell phones (both on the national do-not-call registry, and even though neither of us are subscribers.)

So I did a do-not-contact request via webchat. But they said the do-not-mail listing expires in 3 years and I have to opt-out again.
While you're waiting for the DNC registry to kick in, try NoMoRobo. If they tend to call you from the same number, just report the number and they should trap it. If it's not a robo call then I guess technically you shouldn't use them. I tend to be more liberal in my interpretation of the rules.

Getting old does indeed suck but it isn't necessarily a sign of things to come. About 7 years ago I got osteoarthritis in the last joint of the pinky of my left hand so that the tip is slightly bent. My doctor at the time said that eventually I would have the problem in my other joints. He was wrong. I do tend to get stiff and achy more easily that I used to but so far so good on the bony fingers.

I decided to make some hard boiled eggs since I need to use up my eggs. While moving eggs from the carton to the pot one of them broke in my hands and spilled directly into the element coil. What a freaking mess. It's all over in there, and I can't do a single thing because it's too hot. It's probably going got burn there. Egg is like impossible to clean. So pissed at this stupidity, why the hell did that even happen. Need to wait for it to cool down so I can assess damage better but I think some even flowed in the hole inside the element pan so it's going to be everywhere inside.

Omg the damage is really bad. It did indeed go right through the holes in the catch tray thingies, at least the section it's in is flat, but it will be really hard to reach everything. I need to dismantle everything. That was really not what I planed to be doing today. Think I'm going to say fuck it and try to reach as best as I can and get the worst out.

Turn all the burners on high and the oven on clean and go take a nap. When you wake, the problem will be gone.

Disconnect the smoke alarms first and maybe open a window or two.

It is the middle of September and Fall will be here in a few days yet the temperature around here is still in the 90s with high heat index = hot = AC running full blast = high electric bill = money out of pocket. <sad panda>

It did not go inside the actual oven but inside a compartment that is between the oven and the burners, a roll of paper towels later and dish soap I managed to get most of it out. For the burner itself I will need to just set it on high and let it burn off. Tempted to just hook up 120 to it and do it outside because that is seriously going to smoke up lol. Hopefully 120 is enough. They run on 240.

Pretty sure I have a tapeworm. I've been starving the last few days. I eat, then I'm hungry again a little bit later; craving savory stuff and salt. Maybe I'm pregnant :^D

I had an episode like that a few years back, was the weirdest thing. Ended up going to the clinic and got referred to my family doctor but by the time I got an apointment date then it was gone, but it kept feeling some weird acid feeling in my throat. Doctor said it was heart burn.

Guessing it was some kind of virus, but really not sure. I was trying to eat healthy but healthy stuff is not filling enough so ended up eating family size poutine, baconators etc.

Another FWP, my vacation is officially over and I really did not put as much progress as I wanted on my shed. :/ I was really hoping to take a floater since I work tomorrow and day after then I'm off again, but my boss never responded to me. It's suppose to start raining again after those days so I will miss out the only 2 days left that I can work on it.

I'm starting to think I should setup some kind of very large tarp/awning system so I can just work in the rain. it's ridiculous how much it rains so much here. It's very hard to get enough consecutive days without rain to work on any kind of outside project.

Might have to work on it in winter just before the snow comes. Downside is working on frozen wood is harder, and the planks start to twist etc. I really need to try to get it done before all my lumber starts to twist.
