I don't buy full music albums often, maybe once or twice a year...

So, I looked up the prices of two new albums coming out next week: CA$ 23. What the fuq... They've been $15 forever -- video games were $60 forever, up to this time last year at least, but the recent slide in the CAD was probably a nice excuse to jack everything up. But the government says there's virtually no inflation so they must be right.

Oh well, I'll just buy the CDs on iTunes for CA$ 10.

After a few weeks of ignoring the 'An Update is available' for my Samsung 40" 4K TV that I use as my main PC monitor, I get sick of having to hit the return button on my remote each time I turned the monitor on to bypass the message, so I did the upgrade today...

One reason I was hesitant to do it was because the last time I did the firmware I upgrade, I lost my HDMI Inputs and had to jump through some hoops to get them back. Lo and behold, after I do the update today, the same thing happened. Thank god for AVS forums where someone posted how to do a hard re-boot of the TV to get everything back to normal...

Someone gave me a thumbs down on my latest attempt at building a Portal 2 level. :(

I also tried to make a P&N theme level but Portal wouldn't allow me to face off two jump plates in the same cube. :'(

Got an offer of casual employment... at a casual job I quit very abruptly years ago because I realized it would never go beyond casual and he didn't give a shit that I had a full-time job that actually paid the bills.

Not sure if I should completely ignore the email, tell him to fuq off, or reply professionally...

I took my mother to Harpers Ferry today. I got 'surprised' by the suggestion of going to a casino afterward with her giving me $100 for my birthday. I told she didn't have to do that(seriously!), but she wanted to go.

So... I went to a casino for the first time. Gaudy machine graphics that look like second rate Android games. Some interesting physical lighting on some machines, and the casino itself had nifty art deco/nouveau decor. LOUD inside, and you can smoke. Haven't seen that in ages. Lots of people sitting at machines smacking buttons, and not looking like they're especially having fun. I watched my mother play slots, and stuck $20 in a machine myself, but it was all pretty lame. Not how I wanted to spend the evening, but at least I learned I don't like casinos. I've had enough for a lifetime.

A couple days ago I had to use windows 8. I think some of my red hairs are starting to turn gray just thinking about that experience. I always underestimate how aweful of an OS that is till I have to use it.

They probably don't make most of their money off infrequent visitors. Gambling addicts, though? Boo ya!

I know a gambling addict. The government loves him. Spends hundreds of dollars a week on lottery tickets, even those garbage ones with maximum prizes in the mid-5 figures -- spent way more before he was retired. He does it because he has to do it. It's not for fun.

Filled up my vehicle yesterday because it was about to run out of gas. Paid $1.89/gal for regular at Shell.

Today, the gas price went down to $1.81/gal for regular at the same gas station.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa <sad panda and shaking fist>

Some asshole decided to put a heavy bowl on top of my cake in the fridge. Not only that, they peeled the plastic wrap back, so the bowl that had been all over the kitchen wiped its bottom directly onto the cake. I was planning on finishing it today, but it's not my problem anymore.

Dropped 1/4 of a slice of pizza onto my carpet... Dark colored carpet so no stain but boo, felt bad for wasting food and being an idiot.

Tried out some indoor rock climbing with some friends tonight. Had a blast and will be doing it again, but Holy shit - My entire body aches. I laid down in bed and was too sore to reach for the blanket. This is as close to a coma I've ever been.

Went to an ice-cream store... they put too much ice-cream in the small bowls and it made it harder to bring it home because the lids wouldn't fit.

Couple of cops knocked on the door about 15 minutes ago supposedly on a 911 call.

Was rocking the music loud, the wife had to go get dressed to satisfy things, we were just hanging out in the living room listening to music.

Was cool though once she came to the door, they just said "Rock on" with a thumbs up and went to other things.

I guess if the cops don't show up you're not having a good weekend :p

Waiting for a Craigslist buyer to show... Dude asked for a cheaper price, I gave.

He asked to get it this morning, I woke up early, got everything together, then I see an email about coming later.

It's now later and nobody here! These usually actually go pretty smoothly.

You mean that he did not bother to cover his mouth? Expecting people to cough with their mouth closed doesn't sound reasonable.

I mean not to close completely as shut it closed but use the hands to cover or cough onto shoulder/cloth and not to spread all the germs. He did not cover his mouth at all. He let it all out, wide open :'(

I know those people... live with one.

But it's the worst on public transit. There are seats on the subway that are perpendicular to other seats. Sometimes, dipshits sit in those seats, cough directly at me without covering their mouth.

Anxiety because I wasn't sure if my PrimeNow delivery would get here before I had to leave for work. If I had been gone, my housemate would have had to answer the door. The horror.

Well, dipshit buyer didn't show, it's an hour after he said he'd come, and won't answer my texts. Having said that, 95% of my sales are actually on time or don't flake.
