Either way, manimal already hit it. :p

:hmm:

I'm out.

New FWP: I can't decide what bar to go to for tomorrow's game 7. I've been going to Stout a lot which is conveniently located across from MSG, but it's supposed to be nice out so maybe a rooftop bar would be more appropriate.

Not exactly a FWP. We'll call it my daily fail. I was marking anchor bolts on a pier, and couldn't cross the gap. The more I looked at it, the more ways of fucking up the modest jump I saw. I ended up just leaving. I'll get the other two seats after I get a lanyard for my harness.

too hot to play video games on my desktop in the home office, so I have to surf the net while watching tv in the air conditioned living room.

if we move to another apartment after this one (as opposed to buying a house), central air is going to be very high on my list. it was one of 2 things I sacrificed with this apt (along with my dishwasher), but I did gain in-apartment laundry and off-street parking, whereas in the last place parking was on the street and the laundry was shared in the basement.

I'd value off-street parking & in-unit laundry more than AC and a dishwasher.. but my apartment also faces north/south so I don't get a ton of sun blasting with heat which is nice.

We've got windows on 3/4 sides, which was a nice selling point, but the computer room faces West so after like 2-3 pm, it gets pretty unbearable.

The tasting menu I will be having for dinner has a dessert listed that I am not crazy about but I'm not sure they will let me swap it for something else. :\

Left the office at 5:30AM for a trip to NJ and ended up beating traffic both ways. Even the CBE was light! That means I have an hour to kill at the office now before I can leave... :(

Today's first world problem.

I have to use $200 free United gift e-certs before they expire today. Gotta invent a trip for Labor Day.

specifically ordered tail-off, peeled, deveined shrimp from the grocery store to put into my tomato sauce.

what do I get? 2 lbs of tail-on, unpeeled, veined shrimp. I can barely stand, much less stand long enough to peel and devein 2 pounds of shrimp.

So this grocery store isn't one of the ones where they have a lot of inventory, you point at what you want, and they box it up in front of you? Or even one where you can at least see the product on the shelf before you put it in your cart and bring it to the checkout?

Doesn't sound very first-world to me.

I can't drive currently, so I had home delivery from the store... didn't notice the one mistake until this afternoon when I was starting my sauce.

Oh, okay, got it.

First-world-ey enough for me then. ;)

Sucks about the sauce though. Here's to your health. *chug*
