How does that qualify as a loaded potato?

Are you saying you've seen potatoes that are more loaded?

Unless you are packing pounds of muscles, eating foods like that is a recipe for diabetes.

I'll be going to Planet Fitness later to jog on the treadmill for 30 minutes. It's all about balance.

And I only ate 1/3 of it so I'm still under my calories for the day. I might be over on fat and sodium though lol

Fuck it. Ya gotta die of something, and I could think of worse ways to go than eating that monstrosity.

A couple weeks back my .edu email account that I have had for over 20 years suddenly stopped getting mail. I called the helpdesk and they told me all former student accounts that hadnt been enrolled for 4 semesters were having their accounts closed. Didnt I get the email? Nope. Turns out their automated notification sent in december never went out to anyone. Being the generous people they are they just reactivated my account and are now giving me 3 weeks to transition off of this account.
Ya, this is going to be a mess. This email is tied to all my banks, CC's, and god knows what else.

Ouch that sucks! I recall being told we could keep our college email, I kept it for a while but never really wanted to rely on it so eventually just let it go. I feel safer using an email on a domain I own.

I’ve got your diabetes maker. My 86 year old mom has an annual medical emergency. The last two years it was a stroke and this year she fell and broke her hip. It’s much harder this time around, she is not with it mentally . She had 2 infections and pneumonia along with her broken hip. Add in that her crazy sister who broke her out of rehab and let her sit in a recliner chair for 36 hours before I took her back to the hospital.

This past month had not been a lot of fun. The cure for it? Reese’s Blizzard with extra Reese’s. You have to get the extra Reese’s or it just is not good enough. I do limit it to the medium size.

I bought a phone, my first personal smartphone. I have always had a company phone and never wanted a personal phone for two reasons: 1) I’m a cheapskate and free is free and, 2) I thought dealing with two phones would be a pain in the ass. My boss doesn’t care what I do with the company phone as long as I don’t embarrass the company. I only bought the phone because I’m closing in on retirement and I figured I need to separate my work life from my private life. So anyway, dealing with two phones sucks even more than I was imagining. Everything about it sucks, twice the charging, twice the pocket space, remembering to carry both. I guess I’ll be back down to one phone soon enough.

Could be worse though. I knew a guy who had to carry four phones, a work Alltel, a personal Alltel, and ditto for Verizon. He lived in a community that only had Alltel but everywhere else had Verizon coverage. His job required him to be on call 24/7 so carrying four phones everywhere was necessary.

Three phones here.

"Skinny" Alcatel 1x 2019 for normal calls (earphone doesn't work anymore. need to turn the speaker on)

Moto Edge 30: Whatsapp/Youtube/Apps phone

iPhone 6S Plus: Only use for Microsoft Authenticator and OpenOTP apps

The Alcatel I carry around. The other two are in a bag I carry to work and back. I could probably get rid of the iPhone but I got it free and it works so heck, maybe the extra weight for it I'm carrying every day is some kind of free exercise? :D

Also harder on your knees.
Maybe if running up and down the stairs. Normal exertion shouldn't have much effect on knees unless they are already bad. Best thing about walking upstairs I've found is that stamina improves pretty quickly. After a week, you could be climbing twice the floors you started with and hardly feel out of breath.

You don't /have/ to carry both under most circumstances. An easy start to separation is transferring time flexible tasks to the new personal phone. Leave it home and get to it when you get to it. You can also stash phones under car seats and desk drawers when they aren't needed.

My work phone is my personal phone. I have no intention of giving up the phone or # when the nonsense is done. It'll be going with me. However, I use a different cell I pay for as internet, so I can easily move over to that if I choose to. It stays plugged in at the house on a Chargie device.

Why don't you just leave your personal phone at home? It's obviously going to serve a purpose when you retire and you'll no longer have your work phone.

And you need to look into a European shoulder bag.. easy place for two phones and other stuff that doesn't fit into your wallet assuming you don't carry a backpack or a carrying case.

P.S. more important than having 2 phones or not is putting SIM lock on both so you don't lose your life savings from a sim swap. At least cover your 6 on that!

I think Reddit is finally going to force the shitty new interface. When I try to go to old.reddit.com I just get an error. Cleared cookies and logged back in and it gave me the new shitty interface. What a mess that interface is, it reminds me a lot of windows 10. I don't get what is with the trend of shittifying UIs. If this is not just a glitch and really is what they're doing then I guess it will be a good thing in a way as I'll be wasting less time there.

Hopefully Elon doesn't do the same with X or I'll be really bored. :p

Broken on the app redreader too. Dunno if they use old.reddit. I only check one niche sub, and if redreader's done, I'm done.

I factory reset my Meta Quest, I have to remap my room so it knows the bountries, but room is super messy because I tore it to hell looking for something. I wasn't planning on cleaning it until Monday. But since I can't map it in the Quest properly, until I do I can't play any games or even watch Youtube :| So I either have to get unlazy and clean, or stay lazy and not play games all weekend.

I've been planning on driving over to the Puget Sound region to buy a used office chair...about 100-150 miles, depending on the location. (Steelcase or Haworth...not a fan of the mesh Aerons) Shitty, cold weather has kept me home so far...black ice and the possibility of snow)
THEN, RPD (over at "that other site") brought up something I hadn't even considered...

 o_O Da Fuq? Shudder...that killed that idea for me.
Now looking at a remanufactured chair with all new foam pads and upholstery... 🤬
Dammit...l2 weeks in...I'm still on the hunt for "the chair." I can afford to buy a top of the line office chair...and I MIGHT even survive the battle with my wife over it...but fckn fck...I'm on the + side of 70...do I really NEED a fancy-schmancy chair? All I really want is one that's comfortable when I sit and when I recline while watching videos/movies. Still considering used chairs...but as mentioned above...ick.

I have this since 2018: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/goodmonday/weightless-sitting-zero-gravity-upright-posture-cu

As someone who suffered for a few years with a limp right leg due to broken spinal disc (it eventually healed and leg much better now), I have no back issues to report since I got this and it's pretty cheap now: https://www.amazon.com/GoodMonday-G...mic-Comfortable/dp/B07X5CKL99?ref_=ast_sto_dp
