I bought a plastic sled from amazon, and you sometimes get referred questions from people on stuff you buy. I usually try to answer, especially when it's a good question and/or easy to do. Somebody wanted to know what the inside dimension was, so I went out and measured it. Good question!

After answering, I got a bonus question from I'm assuming someone else. "Tested for microplastics?" Why are people so fucking stupid?! Why would anyone test a 100% plastic sled for microplastic?? Aside from the fact it's macroplastic and will turn into microplastic as it gets used, I'm sure there's a non zero amount of microplastic debris from manufacture. I fucking hate people. They ruin the planet...

I would weigh it and whatever it weighs I would say something like "did a lab test and can confirm that it has the capability of producing NN grams of microplastic over it's life time".

My credit card's site changed and now the password field doesn't allow you to paste the password in. What a shitty design. I use a password manager and really long complex passwords and now I'm forced to use something that I have to type manually each time.

Write to them and complain. Tell them exactly why their bullshit makes clients *less* secure. They certainly won't listen, but they definitely won't change if no one says anything.

The UPS app logged me out for some reason and now I can't log in. Using the same credentials on their website works fine.

Slickdeals' site is unreachable.

A plumber is going to stop by sometime. I have no idea what day or hour so that's fun.

Edit: slickdeals is up again.

Google and yandex both play those games. That's one reason I no longer use google or yandex.

I got a new phone and service to use as my internet connection. I'll be trialing it out, and I'll switch if I like how it works.. My FWP is I really don't find new phone setup fun. Disable all the bullshit, load the programs I want to use, and change all the settings. It's just tedious, and new android versions don't really provide much. It's just rearranging the deck chairs, so I'm not even getting much in the way of cool new features. I'd have kept my old phone, but I want to keep it and the old service active til I'm sure what I want to do. If I keep the new service, the phone(MotoG Power) will be paid for, and I'll still have money left since the service is cheaper.

Update in a month, if you don't mind. I'm looking/not looking. Water/drop resistant? How about the side fingerprint scanner?

I can tell you right now the side fingerprint is squirrely. So far it's been unreliable . I don't like it as well as the rear reader on my Stylus5G.

This phone probably won't be leaving the house. It's main purpose is to be my internet connection. The service is Visible by Verizon. My old service is Walmart using the Tmobile network til Nov, which is when the switch to Verizon is mandated. Visible hotspot is a bit slower, though I haven't noticed a difference in my use, and it's completely unlimited. The a la carte price is $10 cheaper per month, but I can pre pay a year for a significant discount, which is what I'll do if I'm satisfied with the service.

I'll update further once I get more time with it. It's a cheap android slab. For what it cost, I'm happy with it. I really like motorola phones. It's close to vanilla android, and their added features are pretty good. The big downside is a shitty update schedule. You get one or two version updates, and security updates are two years I think? If you're concerned about running a fully updated android, it's pretty bad. I'm not so concerned. I keep a low profile, so I'm not that worried about exploits, but it would be better if it were kept up to date.

Isn't it kind of expensive to use cell as primary internet? Once you go over the cap you're paying extra per MB. There are some plans where they throttle you down and you don't pay extra though but not sure I'd want that as my main internet either. I guess I'm spoiled with my uncapped fibre connection, I can use as much as I want. I pushed a few TB in a day once just to see if I could.

The walmart phone was unlimited everything(throttling after a lot) and 30gb hotspot for $50/month($54.nn after taxes/nonsense). Visible is unlimited everything(including hotspot, but that's limited to 10Mb) for $45/month(all included) or $395/yr if you prepay.

There's a lot of reasons this stuff could be considered a bad deal, but I like the flexibility of just being able to quit. If I don't like terms, I just stop paying. I can get by on reduced bandwidth cause I don't game, and I watch very little video

I'm still on TracFone/AT&T and have no idea what I'll do.
