Motion Man is/was my fraternity nickname. I got it because I was one of the few people in the chapter (which I started as a freshman) who knew Robert?s Rules of Order, so I was one of the only people who could properly bring motions at meetings.

(At least that?s the explanation my ?brothers? and I tell my wife. That is only half the story. The whole truth would probably violate some sort of rule regarding adult content. 😉 )

Ironically, I am a lawyer and spend a great deal of my time dealing with legal motions.

I use MotionMan as a login on all my recreational websites.

MotionMan

It is a nickname that was given to me way back when I was in high school...my friends reckoned that my legs looked like tree stumps...apparently I had the legs of a footballer..go figure.

And I always imagined you as the ultimate stoner. 😀

Mine is my initials plus one. The first email system I was on didn't allow for names with fewer than 4 characters.

A high school nickname that kinda stuck as my online call sign.

I like it, cause people ask me... just what is a Sea Moose?

From a Sam Harris book titled Letter to a Christian Nation (emphasis mine)

All complex life on earth has developed from simpler life-forms over billions of years. This is a fact that no longer admits intelligent dispute. If you doubt that human beings evolved from prior species, you may as well doubt that the sun is a star. Granted, the sun doesn't seem like an ordinary star, but we know it is a star that just happens to be relatively close to the earth. Imagine your potential for embarrassment if your religious faith rested on the presumption that the sun was not a star at all. Imagine millions of Christian in the United States spending hundreds of millions of dollars each year to battle the godless astronomers and astrophysicists on this point. Imagine them working passionately to get their unfounded notions about the sun taught in our nation's schools. This is exactly the situation you are in with respect to evolution.
