I disagree entirely. Though the value to society of someone in need is diminished by pushing them into high-population-density (and thus high-crime) zones; Further, supporting this in high-cost-of-living zones diminishes the help we can offer those who are in need.

Depends where you are on the 1%. If you're in the lowest rung of 1%, that's still only $380k, which means if you buy a house that is maximum 2.5x yearly income, that still places you in housing that still looks middle class (2-3 bedroom, 1-2 bath, 1000-1600 sqft).

Well, spending weeks living and working in a city is not playing tourist. 🙂

But, naturally everyone will have different viewpoints. Overall, Dallas is an awesome town and a very successful one.

I bought a 950 sqft place in SF back in 200 for 420k, sold it sight unseen for 750k in 2005.
