this must be something that varies between browsers.. your picture looks pretty much like what I see (IE).. but there is nothing even remotely orange or brown about this yellow color.. it's.. definitely grey poupon yellow, at my house. :) if if I was The Gap, I'd probably call it maize.

orangy brown.. I just can't see that. don't think I want to, either!

Agreed. I like the yellow at the top of topics (though not the bars between each post), and I like the LOOK of the new reply box, but the reply screen is now too big, and when I hit Reply, it opens a window that's not big enough for the whole window. I have to scroll down to get to all of the Topic/Message Rating emoticons. Granted, I never used them before, but I don't want this window to scroll at all.

WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE OLD FORUMS?!?!

Same here. It wasn't asking me all the time, but at various times. Sometimes, I could just skip it, but when I did enter it, it just took me back to the forums page.

Then, I tried one thing and it hasn't asked me once yet.

I went from using Mozilla to using IE6. With Mozilla, I kept getting asked. IE6, not yet.

However, I tried IE6 on a computer that didn't have Mozilla, so it's possible there might be something else. I'll keep trying things.

FWIW, I like the Cool color settings, but hate the gap between posts.

I miss the quick page links on the Off Topic page. I am hoping that can be changed because as some have said they exist in the threads themselves.

Did you try the "clearing cache and anandtech.com cookies" trick? Some people in the forum issues board tried that with success. For me, it was using IE instead of Mozilla.

I like it so far but it will take a bit of getting used to. Tried using the WYSIWYG reply setting but it keeps trying to install something from my office 2000 disk, wtf is that about?

I do like my new stethescope avatar, woohoo. :D

I didn't like it at first because it was slow, but now it is very fast. One thing I think that people take for granted is that everyone is using a bigger screen now. That is true on desktops and even those using desktop replacement laptops, but some people using ultraportables would appreciate the width being kept to under 1024 pixels.

Clearing my cache and cookies allowed me to get past the What's your mother's maiden name question. It kept asking me over and over again. I couldn't even get to the board to find out how to fix it until I did that.

My advise is to change the default layout to: grey...
It helps a lot..

Looks less professional but try the "black" color scheme and most of the annoying colors go away. Some formatting needs to be fixed but it does load faster... it'll grow on us all 'cause I doubt that they will change it back.
