<< I'd rather have a Hyundai over Chevy~ Ford~ ETC.. in the same pricerange..

I dont need to worry about shady recalls..etc...

Having a piece of mind that you wont die in a manufacturers defect is much more appealing to me.. than

Hyundai's past reputation....... + Hyundai has a better warranty over any American Car...

It might not be super fast.. but at that price.. for people on the budget and who needs a decent car.. it gets the job done.~
>>

are you saying an american car in the same class, same size engine is faster? a chevy impala which is a full size car has a 3.4 engine with 195 or so HP, this is 3.0 with 195HP. these engines are alot more powerful.

NFS4: Fact: In last 4 Car posts you have made mis statements. It's ok we all do from time to time.. you have just been on a run.

>>>> Fact 2. I just advised Ross last nite via PM to buy a 98 Accord.

>>>> Fact 3. I took a long time before posting in this thread, and even then did not step in on Hyundai's behalf.

I hate ppl who spout facts.. clogs up the issue lol...

<< If you drive a Hyundai chances are you also own a eMachines >>

nope I dont own an emachine.. and nope I dont own a Hyundai either..

but I've driven in one.. and they aren't as bad as people make em out to be..

plus with their new 10 year warranty what do you have to worry about ??

How many recalls have Hyundai gone through??

I bet it's not even 1/2 as much as what Chevy and Ford has gone through...

1) Mis statements about what? I'd love to see them ;)
2) OK, what does that have to do with me?
3) What does that matter. I didn't say anything to YOU about Hyundai

1) I went back and read them, and don't see what you are talking about.
2) You said MY name in that post and I addressed it as such
3) See above

And as I said in the previous Hyundai, I'm speaking from experience.

Now if you want to have a discussion, start another thread and we can go at it ;)

1. I said y our name in 1 line!!!! hello????
2. See above. lol
3. Your exp. seems wayyyyy out of line with all the others who chimed in on the Hyundai threads.. overwhelmingly the ones who owned them liked them.

Have a go at it? I am not sure... I mean you do after all you have compared the Elantra to cars not even in it's class in past threads.. and also think the civic is a better value... I really would not want to embarrass you THAT much ;)

Just b/c I don't go in line with everyone else doesn't mean anything.

I compared an Elantra to a Civic. What are you talking about? And have not said that the Civic was a better value. Now there you are wrong. I said that the Hyundai always cost less, but I would GLADLY pay MORE for a Civic. Big difference.

Embarass me, it's gonna take more than cloudy thoughts of my previous posts to do so.

Fully loaded, these things MSRP at $24,744.

How did your folks save $4,744 off sticker price? $1000 off sticker I could see, but 4700???

If you haggle then you'll get a lot off..

plus I think there might be a lot of rebates going on... since they should be clearing out the old models.. soon making room for new cars

it was marked down to 19,999 I guess it was a demo car, has about 100 miles on it. or maybe it was an ad car just for advertising.

LMAO!! And that one about bulgolgi under the seat? hahahah!!!! too funny

I wouldnt' mind driving a Hyundai for a little while. Don't know if I woudld pay that much for it. You could get an Olds Alero almost fully loaded for that price. You could get a nice Subaru for that price. hehehe Well whatever floats your family's boat. *shrug*

And Wyst, concerning me comparing the Elantra to other cars NOT in its class as you say. I have compared the Elantra to two cars in previous threads:

Ford Focus
Honda Civic

They all compete in the same price range and size category.

Focus/Civic/Elantra

Pasanger volume (cu. ft.):
94.1/91.4/94

Length (in.)
174.9/174/177.1

Base Price
$12,415/$12,760/$12,499

Actually, I was wrong. A fully loaded XG300L MSRPs at $25,994.

A $6000 discount for 100 miles is pretty drastic. I'd hate to see what it's worth in 3 or 5 years.

Play .wav Whatever! lol...

Fine you are right I am wrong ok NFS4? Oh and so are the magazines, and on-line sites.

You stated: "I'm glad that you are happy with your Hyundais...I just couldn't live with the cheap feeling interior/material choice
My camry has a better feeling/quality interior than the new Sonatas that I have been in or the Elantras. The plastic in the cars just feels cheap."

The Elantra and Sonata do NOT compete with the Camry the XG300 does. :)

And then as I also directed you.. Car & Driver and Edmunds and Motor Tred dissagreed with you. Which, you were surprised with. :)

As for the Olds Alero, (oh this is not for you NFS4) it's a pretty car, too bad it has had 4 recalls in the last year. :)

Oh, DarkMan: Your parents have a fairly exclusive car now, Hyundai is only shipping 1500 of them to the US. :)

In Korea, it has a 245 HP engine in it though.. too bad they didnt bring that one over here.

Yes, I was surprised with Motor Trend's decision (have not read the C&D and Edmonds article so I won't comment there).

And was comparing my SIX year old Camry to newer Sonotas and Elantras. You would think that in 6 years that interior quality would be leaps beyond my Camry even at a lower price class. I think that it is a pretty fair observation.

But what I was talking about (and what I thought you were refering to IN THIS THREAD) were my comparisons about the cars as a whole, not interior build quality.

And like I stated above. In that respect, I compared the Elantra to the Focus and Civic.

You NEVER made it clear you were comparing a 6 year old car... please do not try and backtrack now. :)

Look, no pissing contest ok? Love your Toyota, I loved the 3 I owned. I had said 2 before oops.

As I have said time and again.. get what YOU like, not what the herd likes, and esp. not what the Marketers tell you to like. :)

I don't need to backtrack ;) Besides, I COULDN'T anyway. What you posted was from a PRIVATE message I sent to you:Q

And the Sonata IS a competitor to base model Camry CE's. They are in the same price range and the Sonata actually has more interior space.

So who are you guys placing your bets on, the challenger wyst or the champ NFS4?

Fact: Since they both make good arguements I'm gonna sit this one out and remain neutral :D

No it's not. Period thats it! Interior Volume is not the 1 standard by which you go by.

It's competiton as put forth by not only every major authority I have ever seen but by Hyundai themselves when you get their Brochure which I have right here.. are cars like the Malibu, Saturn LS, Altima etc...

You started with the posting of private Msgs not I.

And still even after all this time you again make another boo boo..

The Camry Base Price is 17,875 < good luck finding one too.

The Sonata starts at 14,675

Oh yea,,, same class. uh huh. :)
