in 2000 i bought my first car - an 89 accord LX. I liked it though I got extremely unlucky with repairs on it. it cost me a fortune, but the retractable headlights were nifty ;)

I have a 1990 Ford Bronco. I bought it because I love having an SUV size vehicle, and the bronco is very nice inside and I love the exterior shape of the earlier fords. I paid $6,250 for it with 130k Miles on it. 351 V8. the main reason I bought it is because of the brute force of the 351 and its 4x4 capabilities ;)

TEH HARDCORE ROMPZOR!

Note to self: next time buy the 302, not 351. it will save me $40 in a gas a month...seeing as how I get 6 to the gallon right now..

<< 1988 Honda Accord LXi. It was free, parents were tired of it after 10 years, so they gave it to me when I got my license in 1998. I like the novelty of having a sedan with retractible headlamps, plus I like the car because it's unique, it may be the last non-riced, non-POS 3rd generation Accord remaining in existance. The PGMFI engine is very nice too, for 1988 they re-designed the exaust and the FI engine went from 110 to 120 hp. The carbbed engine (DX and LX) had 98 hp.

ZV, thats the 97 CID 1.6 DOHC aluminimum head honda motor right?
>>

Nope. It's the 119 cid 2.0 litre A20A3 12 valve (3 valve/cyl) aluminium head engine. The 1.6 was only 1976-1978 Accords, after that only in Civics. The 1.8 was 1979-1985. 2.0 was from 1986-1989 and was also used in the Prelude until 1990 I think (2.0S and 2.0Si models). 2.2 litre engine from 1990-1993.

<< joyride Get the '95. I think very few people regret a car purchase in that they spent too LITTLE on a car. Very infrequent. Also since you're not established in life yet with house/family, etc. (guessing), in two years you'll probably have way more money and get the car you really want. >>

Very good points. No I am not established at all. Hell I am trying to get job at Best Buy right now :( Well I spent 5k on my 90 Jimmy and its a piece of total crap. But I rushed into that purchase (first ride)

I want a car with a V6 (personal preference) and I have one sitting under my nose. Fully loaded to

Sorry RossMAN no deal. That car is mine (as soon as possible)

95 Pontiac Grand Am. Never even crossed my mind to look for anything but a GM or look any place besides a GM dealership. She's served me well for 7 years and has 97,000 miles on her. One major service bill to have it "tuned up" at 50,000 miles. Other than that, I've invested a few sets of brakes in it and 1 alternator (3 weeks ago). When she goes to the junkyard in another 3-7 years, I'll head back to a GM dealership for another Pontiac or Chevy. I find no reason to buy an overpriced Toyota, Honda or any other foreign car.

1981 Z28 w/138,000 miles on it

It was cheap and we knew the previous owners extremely well along the power factor of a 350:D

Are you sure you have an R/T TT? If you're only shifting through 5 gears in your car, I think someone may have fleeced you and sold you a regular R/T. :)

2001 Neon R/T
why? cause i wanted a new car... this one was really cool looking, nice to drive, quick, handles good.. etc.
financing... 0%... it is the best deal on a new car i could have gotten.. no doubt about it.
it has a 5 year limited 100,000 km warranty with full services for free and while i wait in a leather chair at the dealer.. perfect.
that's pretty much it. low cost, and a great warranty, on a cool looking nice little pocket rocket.. the perfect new car for me at the time..

2000 civic Hatchback...

It's cheap, fun to drive, great on gas, and can last a while... Another big deciding factor was the fact that it's lightweight and small...

Daily driver: 87 Mazda 626 LX $1300, 30MPG, loaded with everything. Cheaper to drive than my 68 Ford F100, 390, single-digit mileage, but it was nearly free (installed weatherstrip set
on the guy's 68 Corvette)

2000 Subaru Forester. Lesbian car of America. Actively marketed towards homosexuals, campers, and active lifestyle people.

My dad like it and paid for it, so I got one.

2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. I was on a waiting list for SIX MONTHS for one of these! It's all black, and I never cease to drool when I see it in the morning. This car is STILL amazing after owning it for nearly 8 months. 0-60 in under 6 seconds, seats that feel like they should be in a Ferarri F1, AWD that plows through snow like my old Jeep did....basically I wanted a pratical sports car, and this more than fits the bill. I love nothing more than pulling up next to 18 year olds in Mustangs and Camaros and bloing their pants off :) They outrun my up to around 20MPH, then the turbo kicks in and WHOOSH....I'm gone. The last guy I did that to was in a 99 Mustang, and he wanted to know how I moded my car because he's never seen a "POS Subaru go that fast".....hehehehe, he appearently never heard of the WRX before. Anyway, amazing performance in a $25000 car that's LOADED, gets decent gas millage, and it still fits a car seat and two kids in the back seat. Best car I've ever owned!

Traded in my 1987 5.0L IROC Z-28 5spd for a brand new (at the time) 1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe 1.6L 5spd.

Reasons for the new car:
Stop sign violation
Double the gas mileage
95mph in a 65mph zone
Honda reliability
Reckless driving
Cheaper insurance
62mph in a 45mph zone
