And actually I dont think I've ever needed a gun, there doesn't seem to be a point in carrying a weapon for me since I live in a same neighborhood

isnt it better to have something and not need it than not have something and need it?

do u have car insurance?

think of it as ....a preventative type life insurance

So in that case should I carry a full compliment of doctors and nurses whereever I go just incase I get into a medical emergency? Better to have the team of doctors there and not need it rather than need them and not have it right. If we all started carrying CWs half of us would be dead in a week
i dont literally bring the doctors with me but i have cigna ppo health insurance should i ever need a doctor and i keep a cell phone should i ever need an ambulance...

having a gun = killing people automatically

I never said having a gun means you'll go around killing people. But having a gun in hand makes it alot easier doesn't it.

Nothing, IL gun laws suck.

No Class 3 either. Though that is most likely a good thing for me.

I suppose but what does that have to do with anything? My knife work would turn a clowns smile to a frown...should we outlaw steak knives as well? guns dont kill people, people kill people.

Um.. people use guns to kill people. Theres only one purpose for a gun, and thats to hurt others. You're not going ot pull out your glock at the dinner table take to cut up your sirloin. And knifes are alot less likely to cause a fatal injury than guns.

you can use a gun to defend yourself against others....you really are not that bright. Where are these statistics abuot knives less likely to cause fatal injury? Im pretty sure i can slit your throat and you'd be dead in about 30 seconds. Ciggarettes have no purpose but to hurt others ......millions carry those on them.

No gun for me, but I do on occassion carry a 4" fixed-blade serrated Beretta.

IMO, knives are less dangerous and are just as useful as guns in a pressure situation. Plus, they're easier to carry and have multiple uses.

Try it now. It didn't work for me either and I'm on my own computer. I noticed the same thing on other people's links lately.

Mill not carrying:
"Crazy guy at bar thinks everyone but him is in the CIA. He sets my arm on fire(not sure if accidental or not). I try to call the cops on him with my cell phone. Bartender doesn't want the cops there so he grabs my cell phone and breaks it, and then has his goons slam me onto the concrete outside and attempt to kill me or something of that nature. I drove to the nearest gas station and called the police, but the bar owner is friendly with those officers, so they investigated me instead. When they said they were refusing to take a report of what happened to me(because they weren't there or didn't care or whatever) I said that was fvcked up so I was summarily arrested for disorderly conduct and public intox."

outcome: "Warrant rescinded and charges dropped."

I pull out my Glock 22 .40 caliber loaded with hollow points and let loose. I do so love putting rounds through a gun whenever I get a chance. By the way, anyone out there willing to front me bail?

outcome: 2 dead, Mill in jail for a long, long, time.

Food for thought.

mill carry version 2.0:
the situation would have been difused immediately if he had just pulled out the gun or just showed it....he didnt necessarily have to 'let loose'

outcome: nobody is hurt and he quietly leaves the bar never to return again. no lawyer fees. no paper work. no fuss.

shit for fly eating robots.

I have a HighPoint .45 (9+1). I know it's not great, but it's all I wanted to buy while in college. Plenty of power for cheap. Plus I'm not big on firing off hundreds of rounds all the time.

No permit or anything. I just keep it in my apt and put it in my center console in my car when i want to travel with it, which is legal here.

Your outcome is skewed IMO.

He used his firearm for self-defense, the courts will see that. His life was on the line and he defended himself.

BTW, I have a Beretta 92fs in my apartment and I'm in the process of getting a new Glock 19 right now. Giving the 92fs to my pops.

Well, I normally dont carry anything, but seeing as that I'm deployed to Afghanistan I usually carry around an M9 with 45 rounds and my M4 with 210 rounds. Sometimes more. :D

Your scenario is certainly as possible as mine and I would hope for that outcome.

Nah, Mill isn't enough of a celebrity (ATOT doesn't count) to get off scott free. ;)
