you can use a gun to defend yourself against others....you really are not that bright. Where are these statistics abuot knives less likely to cause fatal injury? Im pretty sure i can slit your throat and you'd be dead in about 30 seconds. Ciggarettes have no purpose but to hurt others ......millions carry those on them.

I drove to the nearest gas station and called the police, but the bar owner is friendly with those officers, so they investigated me instead. When they said they were refusing to take a report of what happened to me(because they weren't there or didn't care or whatever) I said that was fvcked up so I was summarily arrested for disorderly conduct and public intox."
outcome: "Warrant rescinded and charges dropped."

the situation would have been difused immediately if he had just pulled out the gun or just showed it....he didnt necessarily have to 'let loose'
outcome: nobody is hurt and he quietly leaves the bar never to return again. no lawyer fees. no paper work. no fuss.

I have a HighPoint .45 (9+1). I know it's not great, but it's all I wanted to buy while in college. Plenty of power for cheap. Plus I'm not big on firing off hundreds of rounds all the time.
