What did you get for Christmas this year?

Since my family and I will be leaving off to Vegas tomorrow, we decided to open gifts a little early this year. So far, I've gotten a Panasonic Lumix 7.2MP digital camera, a Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, and a set of pajamas.

So what's new for you guys?

a fiance(it was a bit early but it was in december so i consider it a christmas present) and a digital rebel xti. super exited about both of them.

Sweet on the camera. Been wanting to buy one of those for a while. I don't think I'm getting much this year, nor do I expect it. I'm just happy to be here with my family who lives five hours from me since I only get to see them twice a year.

😀 Didn't mention the fiance obviously. Not sure I would call having a fiance as a Christmas present, more like a Christmas burden 😛 Would rather have the camera.

i am happier with the fiance, and i was not expecting something as big as a camera for christmas, but it comes at a perfect time. my old camera was a canon s2is and i just noticed(ironically when taking photos of my fiance and myself after our engagement) that the left half of all the pictures turns out blurry. so i was going to start saving to get one on my own.

A deep freeze, a stylish car coat, and tons of clothes which I desperately needed. Also received some cologne and some moola. Best of all, I received the news that my wife might be pregnant. Unfortunately, can't get a test today. :frown:

From my relatives and parents

Crysis, COD4, Trauma Center: New Blood, Transformers DVD, 300 DVD, a new expensive looking winter coat, some CD-RWs, boxers, couple nice shirts/sweaters, 2 pairs of new scrubs for work, 2 pairs of trauma shears/scissors, a stethoscope cover, $50 gift cards to Target and Gamestop and $20 giftcard to American Eagle

From my girlfriend soon to be fiancee come New Year's Eve: Real crystal beer glass, Blue Planet and Planet Earth British version DVDs, Mythbusters collection 1 & 2 DVD

For myself...well that computer rig in my sig was my present to myself 🙂

OSU rug, Bourne Ultimatum DVD, and a few various gift cards.

BTW, Bourne Ultimatum is awesome. Going up to the store tomorrow to grab the first two. 😀

A bottle of absinthe, glasses, fork, and sugar.

A bunch of tools

My sister baked me some of my favorite cookies that I haven't had since my mom died. She gave those and my mom's Armenian Cookbook. I thought I was going to breakdown right there at the party.

Isn't it amazing that the material items pale in comparision to such "trivial" gifts. I would settle for hearing a certain persons voice, getting a hug from them, or simply to even see them in a friendly setting. I will not be getting that this year, or ever......

Pearl Eliminator, Zildjian K Customs, a few odds and ends, and parents gave me money for a Wii, I just have to find one.

Creative Zen 16GB
sweet battery charger and a bunch of enloop bats
cloths
orange box
2lbs of beef jerkey
some other stuff

Nothing.
My wife and I decided to skip gifts for each other this year, and focus only on my one and two year olds.

Much more meaningful that way, and my family pretty much always does the same thing (gifts only for kids)

It's good though, because we don't have these long, stressful lists we have to compile each year, and spend a fortune on obtaining "the latest thing"
