What did Santa bring you?

I got Majora's Mask for 3DS, Fallout 4 physical PC copy, a cool drink mixer set for my bar (test tube shot glasses and a beaker to pour from), a Millenium Falcon drone and a 4 tb HDD for my server.

Santa brought me some swimwear, a pair of socks, some books and a blueray "the wolf of wall street". Not much but really useful things

I forgot my $1 wooden back skratcher.

It makes a great extendable kittah skratcher and remote wife foot tickler, I think she might be regretting getting me that 😛

The kittahs are happy, I think Toby has almost not left the counter since he got his reindeer toy, the wife was joking about moving his litter box up there.

Yeah, pardon the messy counter.

I need to clean off my stack of random things there.

I didn't think you could record on 8tracks. Do they have a little tab or socket like cassettes?

I did a search and found this - it looks like an 8-track changer. Never seen anything that weird.

I got myself:
Computer chair
AKG Y50 headphones (love those..)
Project cars
Some books

Wife got me some great clothes from my favorite brands.

And the best gift so far...I took 2 weeks off work - all I do is watching NHL, playing games, watching movies, playing with my 2 years old son. I really needed this break 🙂

I received a $5 Kroger gift card from work. That's it. Really.
Are you shitting me? $5? Is that even worth the hassle of keeping in your wallet?
We got $50 to Kroger!

I got some new jeans in a smaller waist size.
I won't tell my family any gift ideas, so I got Lowes gift cards.
I also got some cash, which I will use for a new soccer ball. (Nike Ordem 3?)

Still, that's pretty damn cool. I can see how the novelty would wear off quickly, but if you tend to have a lot of friends over, it would certainly blow their minds. But yeah, I would probably return it after 5 minutes myself. I'd rather put the money toward some sort of useful electronics. Thanks for the explanation.

My little kids loved it, but given their age, they probably would have destroyed it within the hour. The thing doesn't seem all that well built.

So, we returned it yesterday, and I got for post-Christmas an irritated wife, who thought BB-8 was so very cute (and had bought it for me based on that).

Amazon gift card. Why do people bother giving any other gift cards? They have literally everything, and you don't have BS fees that Visa or MC ones have.

Also a sweet quad copter with video camera and the director's cut of the last Hobbit movie (which I basically wanted for the nice Weta figurine it came with).

Archipelago Botanicals Candle in a Tin - Havana (scented with Bergamot, Tobacco Leaf and Ylang Ylang)

Stamped leather Celtic belt

3 gallons apple cider

a couple other things in the works, yet to appear

21" monitor, keyboard+mouse, barcode scanner for my computer in the basement to scan wines into Cellartracker. That and a spectre x360 for the family. Plus the usual assortment of dress shirts, socks, and ties.

Oh and a gnome on the potty for my desk at work.

I'm resurrecting this thread to explain how I became addicted to these candles.

I'm exaggerating but so far I've bought 5 of these and have taken my jones to the next level by ordering the first jar candle.

I'll be going in for my sex change next week. D:

WARNING - candles may cause gender identity crisis.

Hehe. Candles can be non-effeminate if scented properly. These things are expensive - considering it's just scented wax. And high end ones are overpowering in an enclosed bedroom-sized space. But then, you can blow them out after 20 minutes and/or enjoy the faint aroma when unlit.

Any recommendations? I'm still enjoying the Havana tinned candle I was gifted. It's redolent of clove and does emit a steady column of smoke - not too visible - YMMV. I intend to try the others out one-at-a-time. I'm wondering if the jar ones burn any differently. Some reviews seem to prefer them.
