You have to read back only 4 posts, I answered that and Fury13 confirmed it.Hi everyone!
I hope there is friendly people to answer my (maybe stupid) questions.
I have asus z10pa-d8 + 2x 2678v3 xeon. 2.9 GHz for all cores in tb from the box.
I want to lock tb for all cores. What efi driver is the best solution for me?
Also i cant to update bios (with removed microcode)... I tried it from OS and from easy flash: integrity check error....
You have to disable c6 modes in bios, only enable c0/c1, also disable status report.I have a supermicro X10DRI with dual e5 2680 v3. But I can't boot windows server with microcode removed (tried mmtool, ubu and winhex way). If I have v3x2.efi added, there will be messages indicating all cores are boosted, but windows still stuck at boot logo ( tried windows server 2019 and 2012 r2 ). By the way, I cant boot debian either. What could be the cause?
You can remove the microcode like from all the other BIOSes.Good morning, i have already try to found some bios on web and in the back pages, but i didn t find anything because the links are interrupt, so anyone could kindly gime me a link for two asus:
Z10pe-d8
Z10pa-d8
I have only find z10pe-d16...thanks a lot friends
You can remove the microcode like from all the other BIOSes.
For programming you're going to need a hardware programmer. CH341 did not work for me with these 128Mbit chips, but TL866 did.
I search to obtain the 3.6ghz turbo frequecy on my system with last stable bios and last cpu microcodehello,
I search help to build a custom bios.
My english is very bad, and i don' t understand the instructions...

Thanks, I realized it is related to power management and figured it out myselfYou have to disable c6 modes in bios, only enable c0/c1, also disable status report.
Who will have errors with -100, you can try these:

If you want you can load these efi drivers directly from the efi shell for testing.
use "load" command
load fs5:\V3_MOF_505050.efi (loads efi driver)
fs1:\EFI\Boot\bootx64 (loads windows)
something like this, you get it.

This is not for a specific model. If I understand the question correctly. Just insert the EFI via usb and see which one works better.Hey P1ayboy, can you explain these.
Are they for a specific mobo?
Core -100mv, Cache -50mv, System Agent -50mvThanks @P1ayboy
And what are each of the numbers?
100 is -100mv on the cpu voltage... what are the other two?
Much appreciated.
I'm glad you have the results. I set myself 905050 at 2696. Rarely began to get errors with -100, so I changed it.Well copied the file across instead of just trying to load it and then run windows And it seems to have taken.
Running the 705050 file as i was concerned -100 might be too much without being able to test it.
i got +50 score in XTU and the cpu now idles around 670mv.
surprised that lower volts = more performance but its certainly welcome!
Thanks!
