What car do you want to get next?

Thanks for the tips on the MR2, I'll be sure to check them out when the time comes. To be honest, I am not certain that lack of power is a problem for me with the MX-5; as long as it is fun to drive. From what I've been told, it is fun to drive at the limit, and the limit is easily achievable given the low power. Sounds weird, but it makes sense to me.

Oh it's definitely fun to drive regardless. However, the sound of a turbo behind your head is really quite nice.

Have one already.

The Garrett GT3071 from ATS is calling me...might have to put that in my hardtop next year. I'm planning on dropping the oil pan tomorrow to see what the bottom end looks like (has knock) - thinking about going with new bearings and forged pistons, and valves/springs/retainers, maybe shimless buckets. Next year, rework the fuel system (injectors/FPR/rail/pump) and go to a 3071 with cams...it's only money, right?

If I had to choose a car on the market right now I'd pick up a GT-R but I'm not goign to be looking at a new car for another 3-5 years depending on the next few years. I'm driving a mazda3 at the moment and want something considerably more sporty but I might change my mind over the next few years.

What are you looking to get next?

335i convertible or audi S5.

The S5 is sexy, but like some of my ex'es, I don't think I can keep that for more than a few years.

GT with a few bolt-ons and tune. Taking advantage of having a warranty for a bit (although only issue I've had is the trim on the lower side of the drivers seat) until I do a cam and/or supercharger.

I don't miss Pontiac, but GM is retarded for killing the Commodore for the US market.

I agree, the different GM brands are pretty much just marketing labels at this point so it's not so much the Pontiac brand as it is the types of cars they marketed/sold through Pontiac. (Mixed in with stuff like the G3, surely there was an ingenious strategy at work here.)

They already do LHD Chevy badged Commodores for the mid-east that look pretty decent. The thing I despise about Chevy's though is the chrome bar they put across the front of almost every vehicle along with the bowtie. It ruins a lot of the cars IMO. The SSR was a good example. While I'm not a huge fan of the whole concept it would of looked 10x's better without the chrome bar that went all the way to splitting the head lights. We discussed this on one of the G8 forums awhile back and I changed that up on the current Lumina SS sold in the mid-east market to clean it up. A simple badge would look much better, but I guess according to the marketing people would never no know it was a Chevy.
