Think having 30+ browser windows open, in addition to any applications, would begin to crowd even a dual display toolbar (not to mention, begin to take its toll on system resources). Have never had such a problem in Opera.

Firefox is not compatible with a significant percentage of websites. That alone is a good reason to stick with IE. On a side note, IE with Service Pack 2 owns Firefox. It loads pages significantly faster and the ad blocking works like a charm.

Firefox ---> Trash.

you get reading web pages and it's so easy to middle click and do Ctrl+click to open things on the background, to read later.

Very easy to have a large number of windows open when researching various topics, not to mention attempting to accomplish everyday tasks as well (financials/banking/stock market, online purchasing, etc). Have quite easily reached over 50 at times. On dual display environments, more of course.

One extremely nice feature of Opera (believe FireFox as well, with a extension) would be the ability to capture all open windows/tabs/etc (including the history of each window/tab/etc as well) of a current session when closing the application. This translates to one never losing one's spot or progress - so to speak - when shutting down, rebooting, leaving one's desk for an extended period, etc. In Opera, sessions are saved on the fly and thus even a random crash or power loss (for those without the benefits of a UPS) does not result in a loss of browsing data.

In the end, there is no single perfect browser for everyone - merely what suits each individual user's needs best.

Opera makes me feel warm inside. Mouse gestures, the F4 toolbar popup, saved browsing sessions, built-in multi searches, quick page zooming, easy control over mime settings and program associations. Yum Yum Yum.

i started out with IE, then went to FF. it was cool. i felt 1337 using it. but then i got tired of having to get extention after extention trying to make it like IE.. so after i did a new install, never went back to FF.....

Service Pack 2 Internet Explorer is actually tolerable, but I've just grown so accustomed to Opera. 🙂

I've tried firefox (.8, .8 AMD-optimized, .9 , one other version too), but I simply found the base and stock installation... lacking in features I like.

Firefox 0.93 is great. When I was using 0.8 there were a big number of websites that wouldn't display well. Now most look fine. Tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, ad-block and themes are the resons I switched to Firefox. However, there are a number of websites (javascript heavy or like Amazon's seller account) that do not work well or at all with Firefox, so I have to re-open the everything in IE. I know its not FF fault, but it is still a shame.

Don't know if you've seen it, but there is an extension available that makes it easier to switch over to IE when you're forced to.
