funny you say that, necause i as well have dual monitor goodness, however even at 3200x1200 when you have 9 browser windows upen adn a few programs you cant read what the taskbar saye and i end up licking on every one to find the page i want

with tabs you can always read the page you are on and you taskbar stays clean, for programs, I also hide the taskbar

also IE is slow as sh!t compaired to Opera and FF

Not to mention that the "Extremely precise combined toolbar" can be configured the same way in Firefox.

I've tried firefox, it just seems bloated.
I don't like tabbed browsing, I have a huge taskbar and I like everything there.
I have no use for cookie manager crap.
IE works great for me, no need to change.
I've also tried opera, it's even more bloated.

My neighbor keeps getting spyware because they don't know how to surf the web, I recommended them to use firefox.

as well as opera and it and FF do most of the stuff for you, buily in pop-up blocking and google searching

and we have mouse gestures - they really need to work these into windows itself

I am addicted to Opera. I have tried Avant, but it is just seems mediocre. I gave Firefox a try for a week but didn't care too much for it.

I was stating why I use IE. Being that I never have 30 IE windows open at one time this point is moot for me.

for not seeing what window name you're looking for, the keyboard shortcut hold Alt+Tab is your friend. As for the IE being slower than FF, I have to disagree there. In my experience when using FireFox (straight out of the box), IE rendered pages more quickly.

Firefox. Years ago, IE's first version was a joke, so I continued to use Netscape. Finally began to use IE when ver. 5 was released. Got a virus (can't remember the name right now) before the patch was released and never went back. Switched from Netscape to Firefox - great browser!

the reason why, I only put as a choice those 3 browsers is because Firefox represents all the mozilla and it's derivatives.
IE represents all the browsers that use IE as the underlying browser such as IE, for example MyIE2 also suffers from the same security issues that IE does.
Opera is it's own option since it doesn't belong in any of the other 2 browsers.

it's not like firefox is known to be any percentage more secure. it's simply the fact nobody has bothered yet. I've been using IE all my life (and kept up with patching) and have never been hit with anything. Same concept... nobody has hit me via open-vulnerabilities, I'm safe. Nobody has hit FF, you're safe.

I guess you've never heard of false sense of security ...

not true, for example did you read about the "shell" problem that firefox had, well it was a pretty uggly one, of course it wasn't firefox's fault it was the Operating system's. that's why other programs also had the same issue.
